East Doon, Fawnlion & Sramore โ€” overcast, wet and definitely a bit of a challenge, but fair play to everyone for joining in and taking it all in their stride.

Our C Hike group enjoyed a fantastic day exploring from **Luke's Bridge and the Cauldron** today. With great company, beautiful scenery, and plenty of laughs along the way, it was another memorable day on the hills.

A big thank you to everyone who came along and helped make it such an enjoyable outing. Here's to many more miles and smiles!

A huge congratulations to the 8 Sligo Mountaineering Club members who successfully completed the Benbulben Challenge.

Starting near Arroo and finishing at Benbulben, the challenge covered an impressive 38.2 km with a total ascent of 1,311 metres. A fantastic achievement that required endurance, determination and teamwork.

Well done to everyone who took part โ€“ a brilliant effort and another memorable day on the hills! ๐Ÿ’šโ›ฐ๏ธ

A tough, fast hike yesterday from King's Gully to the Dam. ๐ŸŒฆ๏ธ๐Ÿฅพ

We had it all along the way โ€“ rain, sunshine, plenty of climbing, and a great pace from start to finish. Fair play to the 14 members who were out on the hike!

Yesterday we headed off on our Mystery Hike, with 17 walkers joining us for a fantastic day on the stunning slopes of Nephin in County Mayo.

The mystery destination didn't disappoint, rewarding us with incredible scenery, great weather, and even better company throughout the day.

Sligo Mountaineering Club Annual Summer BBQ โ€“ Mullaghmore Sailing Club ๐Ÿฅพ๐Ÿ”โ˜€๏ธ

Following a fantastic Gleniff Horseshoe walk, members gathered at Mullaghmore Sailing Club for our annual Summer BBQ.

A very special thank you to David and Derry, who kept the BBQ going all afternoon, and to Danielle, Jo and Eilish for all the time, effort and care that went into preparing the wonderful selection of salads, desserts and all the finishing touches. Everything was beautifully organised and greatly appreciated.

With spectacular views across Mullaghmore, great food, plenty of laughter and even better company, it was the perfect way to round off a brilliant day's hiking.

A big thank you to everyone who came along and helped make it another memorable Summer BBQ. Days like these remind us that Sligo Mountaineering Club is about much more than the walks โ€“ it's about the friendships, community and great times we share together.

Our B and C hike groups enjoyed a glorious day in the Dartry Mountain Range on Sunday, making the most of the beautiful weather and stunning mountain scenery.

The groups explored the Cauldron and surrounding hills, enjoying excellent hiking conditions and great company throughout the day.

Glorious conditions and great company for a 12km outing in the Maumturks, taking in Corcรณg, Mullach Glas, Binn Mhรณr and Tobair Phรกdraig at Mรกimรญn.

With almost 900m of ascent, clear skies and sunshine from start to finish, it was one of those days that remind us why we love the hills.
