We have grown over the past 25 years both through the hard work and contribution of members of the club and strong support from Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council and funding from the National Lottery through the Department of Tourism, Culture and Sport.

Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council - Liam o’ odonohoe received an award from An Cathaoirleach CllrJim Gildea for his contribution to the Community.

A few things to note…..

If anyone needs assistance with accommodation contact Kavya Rao, [email protected]. Kavya is the player liaison person for the tournament.

Players are meeting on saturday evening at 7pm at rochestown lodge, Killiney for informal dinner. contact marguerite quinn @ [email protected] for any queries.

Would you like to try Blind/VI tennis? Come and try on next Saturday afternoon at 3pm or sunday afternoon at 3pm. Weekly coaching available every sunday morning after that for both adults and juniors

On Saturday May 2nd and Sunday may 3rd Shankill will host the Irish national blind/vi championship. This is the tenth anniversary of when we started Blind Tennis To celebrate that we have opened the tournament to international players. The tournament attracts World ranking points and has attracted a strong international field to challenge our leading players .
We’ll have six or more Shankill players competing. So come along and support them !
We also have a junior event for the first time on sunday morning.
Everyone is welcome to come along and see this amazing sport in action,

A huge congratulations to everyone who took part in our Club Championship 2025 Finals on Friday night! 🏆
From thrilling rallies to nail-biting tie-breaks, every match showed off the incredible talent, determination, and spirit of our club.

👏 Well done to all our finalists for giving us such exciting tennis, and a special shout-out to our winners who came out on top after some fantastic battles on court.

It was brilliant to see so many members, friends, and families cheering from the sidelines – your support made the atmosphere electric! 🔥

Thank you to everyone who helped organise the championships and to all the players who made this such a memorable event. 🥳
