Iveagh Celtic 2-1 MSS FC

In a game of very few chances, it was Iveagh who took all 3 points when a defensive mix up was buried in the 2nd half.
Parchy got our goal to make it 1-1 at half time but neither side threatened much in what was a scrappy game.

MSS FC 5 1 Confey FC

Slowly but surely we get back to ourselves and today was our best performance of the season by quite a distance.
From minute 1 until minute 94 we pressed and dominated play.
Parchy scored the first goal for the 7th game in a row. Surely a record of some kind. We continued to impress all half and Dusty made it 2-0 just before the half. Nuggets missed a 1v1 to go 3 up.
2nd half and Confey came at us like we knew they would. They aren’t challenging for no reason. They pulled one back with the goal of the game from their no9. A screamer into the top corner leaving Dan with no chance.
We weathered a bit of a storm for 10mins before taking over again.
Dermo hit the bar from a header before Nuggets free kick smashed the wall and his rebound effort caused havoc before a scramble on the line and it went in. We have left it to Dave Murphy to have the final call on who got it.
4-1 when Nuggets got on the scoresheet, blasting home a rebound and that was the game safe with 20 to go.
Confey kept going and will no doubt be looking to avenge this in the return game. We made it 5-1 in the last minute.

MSS FC 3 0 Parkvale

We finally got back to winning ways after going 4 without a win.

In a first half dominated by the lads, Parchy opened the scoring after a lovely move down the left where he and Shuki combined and Parchy finished. He is in fire lately.
With Parkvale not threatening, our lads took the foot off for the rest of the half with nice football but no intensity or chances.
2nd half and again, we dominated. Dermo slid in at the back stick after a good pass from Shuki again. We continued to create chances but couldn’t find the net but got the third through a Richie penalty after a handball by Parkvales centre half.

3 points and a clean sheet. Let’s hope we can keep it up and get our season back on track.

Marks Celtic 5 2 MSS FC

I don’t even know where to start on this one but I will try...

We started pretty well and had the better chances with Nuggets chip over the keeper just missing the bar and a few situations we should have done better in. We then went ahead through Parchy after a Nuggets assist on 20mins.
It was all level on 25mins when a neat 1/2 by Marks lead to a shot trickling in.
Half time 1-1 and Marks the slightly better side tbf
2nd half is one to forget from every player involved.
Marks went 2-1 up on 50mins when a free kick wasn’t held and they were first to follow up.
We then missed two tap in through Bennis who would normally bury them before Marks went 3-1 up with another soft goal.
We had a good chance through a Fran header before Marks went 4-1 on 70mins with another soft goal and mix up.
Nuggets it the bar with a free kick before Parchy scores a worldy to give us hope on 75.
We went 5-1 down on 77 with the only goal I can’t blame our back 5 on.
The referee got mixed in the play by mistake, first deflecting the ball to the offside Marks player and then he ran into our covering defender, taking him out. Goal stood 🤷🏽‍♂.

In truth though it wasn’t on the ref as to why we lost, it was on ourselves with only Parchy, Richie and sub Darren having any credit in the game at all.

Home game next week and in serious danger of the season fizzling our before an Xmas jumper has even been worn!
