Errit Kayak Club

Errit Kayak Club Errit Kayak Club is a volunteer-led kayaking club based at Errit Lake in Co Roscommon, Ireland. The lake is considered oligotrophic (nutrient poor).

Errit Kayak Club aims to promote kayaking in the local area, to arrange and provide the holding of instruction in kayaking skills and techniques and to promote safety in and around water. The club does not provide equipment for hire - we are not a business and equipment is for the sole use of our membership. Errit Lough is a medium sized (84 ha) hard water lake situated on a flat plain in the uppe

r part of the Boyle River catchment, 10 km south-west of Ballaghaderreen in County Roscommon. It is a calcareous clear water lake with rocky shores and a maximum depth of 10 m. The site has a diversity of habitats including exposed rocky shores on the east, sheltered inlets in the west, wet woodland, reed swamps and grassland areas.

Stand Up Flat Water Paddle Boarding through Errit Kayak Club 10.30 to 12.30 for 4 weeks starting next Saturday, including assessment. Only 8 places available. Cost 150 euros includes membership to Club and Canoe Ireland
