Free Information Events for Individuals, Families and Communities

Plan Your Future 2026 is a free series of public information events organised by South Connacht Citizens Information Service in partnership with Roscommon County Council, Roscommon LEADER Partnership and the Age Friendly Alliance. Taking place in Kilbride Community Centre, Four Mile House, the events will provide practical information and expert advice on three key topics: Wills and Inheritance (28 October, 6.30pm-8.30pm), Nursing Home Support Scheme (Fair Deal) (11 November, 2pm-4pm) and State Pensions and Retirement Entitlements (25 November, 2pm-4pm).

Open to all members of the public, the sessions aim to help people make informed decisions about future planning, inheritance, long-term care and retirement. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from subject experts, ask questions and access information on supports and benefits available to older people and their families. 🎶❤️ A Wonderful Day Out at Glenview Museum Leitrim! ❤️🎶
We recently enjoyed a fantastic trip to Glenview Museum in Ballinamore, where we took a wonderful trip down memory lane! 🕰️✨
There was so much to see, reminisce about and enjoy, with a fascinating collection of memorabilia and plenty of stories to share. We thoroughly enjoyed the warm hospitality, wonderful knowledge and company of Brian Kennedy, who helped make our visit extra special. 🎵🥰 We also had a lovely cuppa before our tour of the Museum!
Our day continued with a trip to The Leitrim Inn & Blueway Lodge, where we enjoyed a fantastic lunch and, of course, plenty of great company! 🍽️☕💕

A great day out was had by all! ❤️

We’re delighted to share details of SHE-CONNECT: Health & Wellbeing for Farm Women, a free afternoon event for farm women in Roscommon.
Taking time to look after our own health and wellbeing is so important. This event offers a great opportunity to learn practical tips, enjoy some refreshments and connect with other women from farming communities.

📅 Date: Friday, 23 October 2026 from 2pm to 5pm

Fantastic news for us here in Mo Chairde, we have been allocated funding under CLAR to purchase a much needed vehicle to assist with our expanding Meals on Wheels service.
Thank you to all involved for making this happen.

Great news for Mo Chairde in Keadue with €26,948 allocated under the 2026 CLÁR Programme towards a community vehicle.

Mo Chairde provides a fantastic service across Keadue and the surrounding area, supporting older people and adults with disabilities to remain independent in their own homes and communities, including through their Meals on Wheels and transport services.

This funding will help them continue that important work and ensure essential services can reach the people who need them.

Congratulations to everyone involved in Mo Chairde. This is exactly the type of investment that makes a practical difference in rural communities. Thank you to Minister Jerry Buttimer for this allocation
