Stop over complicating s**t. The basics work they always have and they always will

When I see trainers doing crazy s**t I KNOW it’s because they’re afraid to stick to the basics because they think their clients won’t think they’re smart enough or are making it too easy

My workout today
1a) leg extensions 4 x 15
2a) front squat x 5
2b) Reverse lunges x 10/leg
10 sets
3a) walking lunges x 20/leg
4 sets

Simple but crazy affective. I’ll have to hit a bit more Jamie’s on my 2nd leg session this week but that’s why we plan these things out

Taking a “diet break” or day off your plan after 2 weeks means you’re going back to the habits that got you where you are in the first place.

You shouldn’t be breaking the new good habits that are serving you just for doing them for 2 weeks.

Stay focused and if you can only stick to the plan you’re on for 2 weeks, then it’s not the one for you

Suffer or now or suffer later because here’s the thing, you’re choosing one of the two whether you make the choice or not

Think the gym is hard, see what life is like when you’re weak and injured all the time

Think it feels like a lot of effort getting in shape? Tell me how it feels with cardiac disease and not being able to keep up with you kids

S**t, tell me how hard it is when you’re racking up the bills for those things if you think it looks costly to spend €100 a week getting fit rather than in the pub at the weekend

If you choose not to get up and do something about it, you’re choosing the harder path tomorrow I promise you and it’ll be you that made that choice

Getting into really good shape, shows

- discipline
- delayed gratification
- goal setting
- focus
- self respect

When someone is in really good shape these are the traits I think of and these are the reasons it’s valued and respected.
