As our Academy has now wrapped up for the Summer, we would like to say a huge thank you to Colin, Janice, Niamh P, Chloe, and all of the coaches and helpers who put so much effort in every week to develop a love of hurling among our younger members.

The organisation, planning, and attention to detail that goes into the Academy each week is exceptional, and it ensures that every session runs smoothly and is enjoyed by all the kids.

A special word of thanks must go to Colin Martin, who leads the Academy each week and he dedicates a tremendous amount of time and energy to planning everything.

We are extremely grateful to him.

We would also like to thank Ray Cooke for his generous sponsorship of the Academy. His support is greatly appreciated.

Thank you again to everyone involved. We hope you all enjoy the summer break, and we look forward to seeing the kids back for more fun in September!

It's a great day for the Parish tomorrow as another one of our schools have reached the Cumann na mBunscol Final in Croke Park.

Best of luck to Citywest & Saggart CNS who take on Griffith Barracks MDS in the Corn Aghais final in Croke Park on Monday June 15th at 1.20.

The school has made great progress in hurling over the past few years.

Last year they captured their first piece of silverware in the Shield final and this Monday marks their first ever appearance in Croke Park on finals day.

Under their encouraging mentors, Aisling McDonagh and Eoin Murphy, this team has shown what hard work, dedication and teamwork can achieve.

It’s a proud day for Commercials and a testament to all the juvenile coaches to see 2 local schools line out in Croke Park on finals day.

Best of luck to Scoil Chrónáin Hurlers and Maistir Nicky, Mairtín agus Liam in the Cumann na mBunscol final tomorrow in Croke Park. Throw in 1.20pm.

*********************************************

Scoil Chrónáin has always been about community, culture, and a massive love for Gaelic games.

This year is a particularly special one for us as we celebrate our 50th anniversary. Looking back over half a century, our connection with Cumann na mBunscol has been a huge part of the school's story. Generation after generation of Rathcoole kids have proudly pulled on the red and white jersey, learning what it means to play with heart, respect, and real team spirit.

Over the years, we’ve had some truly unforgettable days out, none more so than the absolute thrill of making it all the way to Croke Park. Seeing our players run onto that hallowed turf is something that brings immense pride to the whole community. Win or lose, those days live long in the memory, but the real magic happens on the school pitches, where our core values of Spiorad, Croí, agus Teanga come to life.

We also take great pride in our deep-rooted links with Commercials Hurling & Camogie Club, where so many of our pupils continue their GAA journeys outside the school gates.

We’ve seen some fantastic talent pass through our teams over the last 50 years, and we’re incredibly proud to claim Dublin senior hurler Diarmaid Ó Dúlaing as a past pupil. Diarmaid hasn't forgotten his roots, either; he recently came down to our last training session to inspire the latest group of lads coming through the school. Seeing him go from playing school matches to representing Dublin at the highest level is a massive boost for the kids currently wearing the jersey.

None of this would be possible without the incredible dedication of our teachers, mentors, and parents who give up their time to keep the games alive. As we celebrate 50 brilliant years of Scoil Chrónáin, we look forward to seeing the red and white thrive for decades to come.

Dearg agus Bán, Scoil Chrónáin!
