Raheny United was founded in 1994 following an amalgamation between Raheny Boys and Dunseedy United. In November 2003 we opened our remodeled Clubhouse, complete with six dressing rooms, referees room, showers for sixteen, a players lounge which caters for 100 people and a Function Room that can cater for 150 people with full Bar facilities, and is is available for hire. We currently cater for 8 s

enior teams, 46 schoolboy teams, and host our own youth academy every Saturday morning, which makes us one of the larger junior soccer clubs in Ireland. Our senior teams compete in the AUL and LSL Leagues whilst our schoolboy and schoolgirl teams compete in the DDSL, NDSL and MGL Leagues. At the center of the club ethos is the development of our local youth in the skills of football in a safe relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere which we hope will form lifelong friendships and a sense of community. Ideally where the players and junior members become the next generation of mentors & coaches and will drive the clubโ€™s future holding true to this ethos. RAHENY UNITED SENIOR WOMEN HAVE WON THE LEAGUE ๐Ÿ”ฅ

What an outstanding season. An incredible team & what a way to finish.

Last Sunday the girls delivered once again, putting in a phenomenal performance to beat Stepaside 4-1 and officially crown themselves LEAGUE CHAMPIONS! ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿฅณ

Once again, a huge thanks to the supporters โ€” it was brilliant to see so many Raheny United fans making the trip over to Stepaside.

What this team has achieved is absolutely remarkable. The commitment, hard work, belief and team spirit they've shown throughout the season have been amazing.

And a huge thank you and congratulations to James, Brian, Glenn and Cormac for everything they have put into this team throughout the season. The time, effort and commitment behind the scenes has been enormous, and this league title is a fantastic reward for all that hard work. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Raheny United suffered a 2โ€“0 defeat at home to Liffey Wanderers in Friday nightโ€™s Leinster Senior League Intermediate 1A clash.

Liffey took the lead in the 8th minute after a dangerous cross into the box ended up in the net via an own goal as Raheny were unable to clear their lines.

Raheny responded positively and enjoyed plenty of possession for the remainder of the first half, creating several good chances. Burgess, Lacey and McDermott all went close as the hosts searched for an equaliser.

The second half followed a similar pattern, with Raheny pushing forward against a resolute Liffey defence that gave away very few clear-cut opportunities. The closest Raheny came was when Hempenstallโ€™s powerful header crashed off the crossbar, while Jeff Rafter also came close, as the pressure was mounting.

Liffey sealed the victory late on after Raheny were caught loose in possession, allowing the visitors to put a ball over the top of the defence and finish clinically to secure all three points.

Good luck to Liffey Wanderers for the rest of the season.

Raheny will look to bounce back next Sunday when they travel to face Rush Athletic. All support greatly appreciated.

Our Football Bonanza was the perfect launch for our new affiliation with Rovers F.C. โ€” and just a glimpse of what's to come.

This partnership gives our elite players a genuine pathway into the League of Ireland, while allowing them to stay with Raheny United for as long as possible. It also means more opportunities for our players and coaches to experience top level games, coaching, and development alongside one of Ireland's top clubs.

Six hours of football, teams from U8s to U13s, and a real sense of what this affiliation means for the club going forward.

Joe, represented Ireland as a wrestler at the Olympic Games, a remarkable family legacy of sport and commitment that his son, Joe (jnr) carried forward in his own contribution to our club playing for the club for most of his life before going on to coach and serve on the committee.

The Committee and members of the club wish to offer their sincere condolences to the Motherway family on the recent passing of Cyril.

Cyril was a familiar and much-loved face around our club for many years, having worked here himself, with his daughter Sarahanne also giving her time to the club down through the years. His son-in-law Chicko was a huge part of the running of the club bar in its early days, and Cyril and his late wife Dympna were regular and welcome faces at the bar over the years. His sons and grandchildren have proudly worn the club jersey down through the years, making the Motherway name a real part of our club's history.
