8 Senior teams, 50 juvenile teams & the Raheny Rookies Academy We look forward to seeing you soon.

Raheny United was founded in 1994 following an amalgamation between Raheny Boys and Dunseedy United. In November 2003 we opened our remodeled Clubhouse, complete with six dressing rooms, referees room, showers for sixteen, a players lounge which caters for 100 people and a Function Room that can cater for 150 people with full Bar facilities, and is is available for hire. We currently cater for 8 senior teams, 46 schoolboy teams, and host our own youth academy every Saturday morning, which makes us one of the larger junior soccer clubs in Ireland. Our senior teams compete in the AUL and LSL Leagues whilst our schoolboy and schoolgirl teams compete in the DDSL, NDSL and MGL Leagues. At the center of the club ethos is the development of our local youth in the skills of football in a safe relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere which we hope will form lifelong friendships and a sense of community. Ideally where the players and junior members become the next generation of mentors & coaches and will drive the clubโ€™s future holding true to this ethos. If you would like to play / coach or just get involved in any way please see click the contact us directly.

Raheny United Suffer Defeat to Mount Merrion

Raheny United's men's 1A side suffered a 4-0 home defeat to Mount Merrion on Friday night, despite having opportunities to get back into the game.

Raheny found themselves 2-0 down at the break, but had chances to get on the scoresheet and give themselves a foothold in the contest.

The hosts made three changes at half time and started the second half brightly, showing good energy and looking to find an early goal that would bring them back into the game. However, despite their positive start, Raheny were unable to find the breakthrough.

As Raheny pushed forward in search of a goal, Mount Merrion capitalised on the space left behind. Their number 10 picked up the ball in the middle of the park, drove through on goal and finished well to make it 3-0.

Mount Merrion added a fourth shortly afterwards, putting the result beyond doubt and bringing a difficult night for Raheny to a close.

Attention now turns to next Friday night, when Raheny United face Liffey Wanderers at St Anne's Park in the Metropolitan Cup as they look to respond with a positive performance.

Best of luck to Mount Merrion for the remainder of the season.
