🌟CONGRATULATIONS SAM🌟

Pride of place this week goes to Sam Murphy who has secured his full playing rights on the ALPs tour for 2026. Sam is a member of Portumna Golf Club and in doing so becomes first member to secure professional tour status. Sam secured full category 6 status and a place on the ALPs tour finishing third at final qualifying in Rome. The former Connacht stroke-play winner and Grand Canyon Alumni entered the final round in sole possession of the lead with a two shot lead. After a poor start on the final day, Sam fought his way back to finish on a very credible -8 and secure a three way playoff for Third. Securing playing status was always the primary goal and Sam did that in style.

Heartiest congratulations to Sam from all at Portumna Golf Club. We look forward to supporting him when the ALPs tour begins in Egypt in 2026. ✨⛳️
