Congratulations to our U14 Girls who secured a fantastic one-point victory over Woodford-Tynagh in their semi-final in Duniry last night.

In a closely contested and exciting game of two strong teams, both teams showed tremendous determination, teamwork and resilience right to the final whistle. Winning by the narrowest of margins is never easy, and they can be very proud of the effort and commitment they displayed throughout the match.

Well done to all the players and management on reaching the Galway County Community Games final and to the players of Woodford Tynagh Community Games for a great match. We wish the team the very best of luck as they prepare for the decider and hope they can produce another great performance.

DOUBLE HEADER IN DUNIRY

This evening (Thursday, June 4th) is a big one for Woodford-Tynagh Community Games, with both our U11 hurlers and U14 camogie teams in Galway County Community Games semi-final action in Duniry (H62 RC63),

First up, our U11 boys take to the field at 7.00pm against Athenry Community Games, looking to continue their excellent run and secure a place in the county final.

Then at 8.00pm, it's the turn of our U14 Camogie girls as they face Portumna Community GAMES in what promises to be another closely fought encounter.

Best of luck to all the players and mentors involved. It's not often we have two semi-finals on the same evening so why not head to Duniry and get behind both teams? ๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ–ค

Commiserations to our U12 Boys Soccer team, whose Community Games journey came to an end with a narrow 1โ€“0 defeat to Athenry in the semi-final.
Played in difficult conditions with strong winds throughout, the boys showed great determination, teamwork and commitment from the first whistle right through to the final minutes. They worked hard for one another and never gave up, making it a very competitive contest.
While the result didn't go our way, the team can be very proud of their efforts and the way they represented Portumna Community Games throughout the competition. Thank you very much to their coaches who did a great job to get the children to a semi-final.
We would also like to wish Athenry the very best of luck in the final and for the remainder of the competitions.

Best of luck to our U12 soccer team who play Athenry in their semi-final this evening in Athenry.
