What an incredible performance from our U14 Camogie team in today’s Cairn Community Games National Final in Carlow.
The girls were level at full time, sending the game into extra time, and were one point ahead at the end of the first half of extra time. In the end, Toomevara edged it by the narrowest of margins, 5-16 to 7-9.
Of course, it is disappointing to lose a National Final by just one point, but these girls can be immensely proud of what they achieved today. They gave absolutely everything right to the final whistle and showed huge determination, teamwork and character throughout the game.
To reach a National Final is a fantastic achievement in itself, and everyone in Portumna is so proud of this team and all they have achieved.
A huge well done to every player and to the coaches who have supported them along the way. 💙💛
