I didn’t find one of the ten bottles along the coast today. I did find what I think is a plaque with the name of a Spanish beach. So maybe a bottle will come in on the Mediterranean Coast. I might find one on my winter holiday😎

Thanks to everybody who came along to the Portsalon Heritage Week Event. The weather was mostly kind and it was great to hear all the memories people shared also. Those stories that people shared will now be preserved instead of being lost.

Following on from our heritage walk we came together in writing and performance workshops. On Saturday evening past we brought Colmcile to life at his own Turas Well. Bhí an oíche ar feabhas. Míle Buíochas uilig.

It’s the final day of our Finding Colmcille Project.
What a week of words and will. From walk to page to stage the work is done. We’re now performance ready. It’s almost time to run.
Come along this evening and hear the old words rise. Prophecies, tales and curses at our Turas Well. Colmcille’s voice is set to swell the stories told around the well.

Colmcille blessed us with beautiful weather for the Fanad Fanad Fanad Festival walk this morning. I hope I did justice to his stories and he won’t throw a curse on me. Thanks to the 72 walkers who hopefully enjoyed our landscape, history and folklore of Colmcille in Fanad. Next Saturday will see the performance of the stories at outdoor locations beside our Turas Well. Deborah Templeton John Britton.
