Portlaoise Golf Club is situated on the site of the original Maryborough Golf Club which dates back to the 1800's. It was born out of a passion to provide golfers of all abilities with a course that combines traditional design and a distinctly Irish blend. This 18 hole parkland course is playable all year round. Gently rolling fairways and greens combine with water to provide a test for any golfer.

Our 2027 Golf Society Rates are:
🏌️ Monday–Friday — €20 per person
🏌️ Saturday, Sunday & Bank Holidays — €25 per person

We also welcome Golf Classics & Fundraising Classics, with packages and prices available on request.

🍽️ Full catering available — making it easy to organise the complete day for your group, club, charity or organisation.

* with your generosity €4,000 of sponsored prizes were given out to competitors over the 6 days.
* A huge thank you also to the McEvoy family and our bar staff at Portlaoise Golf Club for facilitating members and visitors throughout the 6 days.
* Throughout all competitions, we had over 400 entries from our members, plus over 100 visitors.

Best of luck to our Men’s Central Towns team as they take on Nenagh in the semi-final in Tullamore today at 2pm. The lads will be giving it everything as they look to defend the Central Towns Trophy they won last year.

Wishing the very best of luck as well to our Men’s Moore Cup team, who face Waterford tomorrow (Sunday) at 2pm.
