𝐌𝐄𝐍’𝐒 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐋𝐓𝐇 𝗪𝐄𝐄𝐊 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔⁣

Today marks the beginning of Men’s Health Week 2026.⁣

And this year’s message is, funnily enough, something we preach quite often here:⁣

𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐏 𝐀𝐓 𝐀 𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄: 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐆𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐒, 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐅𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍.⁣

The reason this week matters is simple:⁣

- "Local Men die younger than women⁣

- Males have higher death rates for almost all of the leading causes of death⁣

- Lifestyle factors contribute to a high proportion of chronic diseases⁣

- Putting off seeking help can allow treatable health problems to become much more serious."⁣

[𝘔𝘦𝘯'𝘴 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘵𝘩 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘶𝘮 𝘐𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥]⁣

Looking after your health doesn’t always require a complete overhaul, even though it can feel like that times.⁣

It might mean;⁣

- Booking the check-up you’ve been putting off⁣

- Getting out for a quick brisk walk⁣

- Making time in your calendar for your fitness, treating it like a non-negotiable for help with a coach twice per week to start!]⁣

- And if you don't know where to start there, maybe it's reaching out and asking for help with a coach⁣

- It could be eating less processed foods overall this week⁣

- Talking to a close friend when something doesn’t feel right⁣

- Or asking a friend how they’re really doing, rather than surface-level conversations⁣

See, change won't happen overnight⁣

And you DON'T need to change a ton of things to start improving your overall health⁣

Take it one step at a time & trust the process.⁣

Because small choices, repeated consistently, can make a massive difference to your physical and mental health over time 💪⁣

A brilliant morning spent yesterday fine tuning the coaching of our Erg’s with the legend that is

AKA: The gold standard in all things Erg’s [Bike, Row & Ski Erg technique & efficiency]

There is waaaay more to these machines than people realise so we’re delighted to have gotten the opportunity again this year to travel up to Dublin to soak it all in from Jane 🙌

We had coaches & fly the Doc Fitness flag yesterday and we also had two of our ninjas alongside us & 🔥

Fantastic morning

Brilliant people

And brilliant hosts too, thank you for having us 🤝

The countdown for our Doc Fitness Summer Games is on ☀️⁣

Less than a month to go for one of our biggest events of the year and always a brilliant morning inside the gym.⁣

Our Summer Games is a team-based event for our members built around strength, fitness, teamwork and a bit of craic.⁣

Think mini workouts, mixed teams, plenty of encouragement, and of course…⁣

The chance to lift the highly sought-after Ninja Games Belt 😂🥋⁣

But it’s not about being the strongest or fittest person in the room.⁣

It’s about getting stuck in, having fun, working with your team, and showing you there’s more to fitness than you may realise.⁣

We’ve also got some new updates to this year’s Games with shorter events throughout, so it’ll all be wrapped up over a 2 hour period.⁣

April & Mays rewind ⏪

May was a busy one here at HQ, so much so, we completely forgot to put out Aprils rewind 😂

So here’s what we got up to over the last 2 months;

- We hosted a charity workout for Darkness into light .house & raised €816

- Irene surpassed her fourth year gymiversary while Mairtín Óg & Tim surpassed their 7th & 6th years (But they’re both actually closer to 8 & 7 because our system had a glitch calculating it so in a few more weeks we’ll celebrate the next gymiversary 😂) and Helen hit her first year gymiversary 🎉

- Richard ended his full time journey with us here at Doc so he got a nice group workout send off. But he wasn’t gone for long as he’s staying on helping us out every now and then with Saturday sessions 🙌

- Zara was crowned our Ninja of the Month for March & hi her first year gymiversary too 🎉

- Joe surpassed year 3 while Caroline & Jackie hit their first year gymiversaries!

- Sarah was crowned our NOTM for April 🥷

- Richard & Ciaran hosted a brilliant charity workout for Darkness into Light

- More gymiversaries with Justin surpassing his first year and Paula hitting year 2️⃣

- Our new milestone tees landed & Regina, Michelle and Celine were one of the firsts to grab their hands on them surpassing 150 sessions and 300 sessions for Celine 🙌

- Did we mention is was hot for a couple of days? 😂

- As always, a tonne of team development in the background 🧠

June is always one of our best months of the year so we’re looking forward to our events this month and the highlight of our Summer Games 🌞

You probably don't.

And that's where most people get stuck.

You wait to feel motivated before starting something...

The problem with that?

-> Motivation comes and goes.

A great week can make you feel motivated.

But a bad night's sleep or stressful day at work can take it away.

See, what you actually need is a plan.

Something that tells you what to do even when you don't feel like doing it.

Something that holds you accountable.

Something that shows you exactly what to do every time you arrive at the gym.

Because while motivation [might] get you started.

It's structure, routine, accountability and consistency that keep you going.

AKA: Having a plan 🫡

Our next MyZone challenge kicks off on June 15th 🔥⁣

This time, we’re going a little bigger…⁣

Doc Fitness will be taking on gyms across Spain, Portugal & Greece in a 2-week 'Sweat to Summer: Battle of Nations challenge' 🇮🇪🇪🇸🇵🇹🇬🇷⁣

The goal is simple:⁣

Rack up as many MyZone Effort Points as possible across the 2 weeks by staying active, showing up to sessions, and getting those blue-to-red zones ticking over.⁣

(If you don't know, MyZone is a heart rate tracking system we use here at Doc to tailor your training experience, boost accountability, monitor your effort, and give you a simple way to track progress beyond just weights or calories.)⁣

It’s all about adding a little extra accountability, activity and a bit of craic heading into summer.⁣

But also…⁣
