Most of us were never taught what body image actually is. 💛

We were just told to feel better about ourselves. To be more confident. To stop being so hard on ourselves.

But no one explained why it's so hard or what's actually going on underneath.

Here's what we know: body image isn't about how you look. It's a psychological state made up of how you see yourself, what you think, what you feel, and what you do because of those feelings.

And it can change- hourly, daily, depending on your sleep, your cycle, your stress, a single scroll through social media.

That's not weakness. That's just how it works.

At Empower Fitness, we don't just coach training and nutrition. We coach the whole picture, because the way you talk to yourself matters just as much as what you lift.

Next week's staff CPD is something we've been looking forward to for a while. 📚

We're taking dedicated time to study the psychology of body image - not because it's a trend, but because we genuinely believe the women in this gym deserve coaches who understand what's actually going on beneath the surface.

Counting macros and doing squats is the easy part. Understanding why so many women feel at war with their own bodies? That takes real study.

So that's what we're doing.
