Our core members are dedicated riders and every single member of our club adds his or hers own personal touch, whether it is out training, racking up race results or ensuring the club runs smoothly. If your interest is racing, mountainous 200km events or just cycling for fitness, we strive to make all our members new & old feel welcome and involved with our club. Every year our riders participat

e in a club racing league, open racing events, Irish Touring events, as well as road cycling training every weekend.

Everyone at Oldcastle Cycling Club offer our sincere condolences to family, friends and team mates of Shane.

A top class racer and really nice guy.

Truly heartbreaking.

We are devastated 💔by the tragic loss of Shane O’Brien, a valued member of our cycling club, following an accident on June 16th.
Shane was an extremely talented and enthusiastic cyclist whose passion for the sport, determination, and kindness touched everyone who knew them. He was a leader and idol to the many young cyclists who knew him both locally and nationally. Shane was following his dream to become a professional cyclist and his dedication to this goal has been evident for everyone to see. Shane’s loss will be deeply felt throughout our club and the wider cycling community.

Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with Shane’s family, friends, teammates, and all those affected during this incredibly difficult time.

Oldcastle Cycling Club were delighted to make a presentation to Oldcastle Dementia Day Care Centre on Saturday last.

Pictured here is Samantha accepting a cheque for €500, the proceeds from our Sportive.

Dust off those old bikes and join Munterconnaught Heritage Society for a charity High Nelly cycle packed with fun, laughter, and a little adventure along the 29km route!

Starting in Munterconnaght Saturday 30th May - a journey full of craic, community spirit, and old-school charm.

Vintage dress encouraged! All while we support 3 fantastic causes.
