St Vincents 1.20 St Brigids 0.13
St Brigids played their third and final match in the group stage of the Junior A championship at Dunganny on Saturday afternoon. After a closely fought first half St Vincents held a two point lead going in at half time 0.09 to 0.07.
However soon into the second half St Vincents converted a penalty as well as several well taken two pointers from frees by their goalkeeper which saw them pull away. St Brigids fought valiantly until the end without achieving the desired result. Although St Brigids played some excellent football on the day they were up against a physically stronger and more experienced outfit.
St Brigids now face a relegation play off against the losers of the St Marys v Dunderry game in early October.

The results have arrived from the Guaranteed Irish club competition and it is fantastic news today both for Briody Beds and St Brigids GFC. This is a huge boost for us here at the club and we are delighted to have been involved in this and have the continued support of Briody Beds. We would like to send them our heartiest congratulations and wish them every success in their business in the future. We really appreciate all the support given over the years. We also appreciate the work put into the competition by Guaranteed Irish in support of clubs

🏆 What a fantastic morning down at St Brigids GFC Ballinacree! 🏆
Huge congratulations to St. Brigid's Juvenile GAA for running such a top-class blitz! Even with the threat of torrential rain, luck was on their side and they managed to get away with just a few light showers—and the club kept everything running seamlessly from start to finish. 🌧️🌤️

A massive shoutout to all the coaches, linespeople, referees, and stewards who kept the games and the grounds moving so smoothly, and to all the heroes working away quietly behind the scenes to get stuff done.

​A extra special mention to Marie-Yvonne and her wonderful team of helpers who kept all warmed up with tea and coffee! Huge thanks as well to everyone who donated delicious homemade baked goods, as well as all the non-baked treats and goodies—your generosity made the morning so special for everyone! ☕🧁🍎

It was brilliant seeing all our energetic U8s and U10s out on the pitch, but the absolute highlight was watching our U6 team make their big GAA debut! Seeing them run out there with non-stop enthusiasm, pure cuteness, and huge smiles from ear to ear was magic.

Watching the youngest members of our community take their first steps on the pitch shows that the future of the club—and the whole community—is in wonderful hands. The talent coming through is unbelievable, and the best is definitely yet to come! 🥹⚡💙🩵

Curraha 2.17 St Brigids 1.13
The second round of the Junior A championship took place on Friday evening at Kilmainham. The opening half was fairly evenly divided with Curraha taking a one point lead 0.9 to 0.8 at the half time break. Curraha upped their game in the early part of the second half with two goals leaving a wide gap between the sides. Despite a late rally and a goal from St Brigids Curraha ran out comfortable winners. Disappointment for St Brigids but an improved performance from the first round - Curraha's greater experience paid off in the end.
