Burrishoole GAA Club was delighted to present a cheque for €1,600 to the Newport Community First Responders, representing the proceeds from the raffle held as part of our “Burrishoole Goes to Hollywood” fundraiser.

The Newport Community First Responders provide an invaluable service to our community, offering vital support in emergency situations and making a real difference when it matters most. We are fortunate to have such a dedicated group of volunteers on our doorstep.

We are proud to support their work and hope that this contribution will assist with the purchase of essential equipment and the ongoing training of their volunteers.

A sincere thank you to everyone who supported the raffle and helped make this donation possible.

The Healthy Clubs team has coordinated with Seamus from the RNLI to deliver a water safety talk—an important event for our children as we head into the summer months.
The talk will take place on Wednesday, 17th June 2026.
• Seamus will speak with the Nursery group on the sideline at BCP pitch for the final 15 minutes of their training session, starting at 6:00pm.
• Seamus and his team will then host a 20–30 minute session in the clubhouse for the U8 and U10 girls and boys teams at 7:00pm.

After this all we will need is a bit of sun to enjoy the summer months ☀️☀️

A huge well done to our U12 boys who proudly represented Mayo and Connacht at the James Hughes Memorial Competition in Crossmaglen, Co. Armagh today.

Competing against some exceptionally talented teams from across Ulster, the lads produced a series of outstanding performances throughout the day!

The boys represented their club, county and province with great pride, determination and sportsmanship, doing Burrishoole proud every step of the way.

A sincere thank you to Crossmaglen Rangers GAC for the warm welcome and for hosting such a fantastic event. It was a brilliant experience for all involved.

Well done boys – a day to remember! 💚🤍

We were delighted to present a cheque to Paul Cunnane of Croí on behalf of Burrishoole GAA Healthy Clubs.

The donation was made possible through the incredible support received at our Annual 5K Walk/Fun Run in December. All funds raised on the day were donated to Croí in memory of our great friend Frank McHale, who is always in our thoughts.

A sincere thank you to everyone who took part, donated, and helped make the event such a success.
