United Striders Athletic Club

United Striders Athletic Club The United Striders Athletics club was formed in 1976. It was an amalgamation of the senior sections of Adamstown A.C. and New Ross A.C. and Shelburne A.C.

In the mid 1980's the senior sections of Utd Striders A.C., Duncannon A.C. formed SDS A.C. with the name Utd Striders A.C. surviving as a juvenile club for the New Ross district. In the late 90's the name became synonymous again with the juvenile and senior athletics club for the New Ross district.

It was a very special day for Ciara Mageean and all of the athletics community, as 400 juveniles from across the country joined her in a short run to celebrate Ciara. ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช

Maia Bolger and Corey McVeigh were the lucky 2 juveniles from United Striders who ran with Ciara. They both really enjoyed their evening, including meeting lots of other sporting legends such as Sophie Becker, Sarah Lavin, Thomas Barr and Sonia O'Sullivan.

Our Striders were definitely out in force today heading across the County border to support our neighbours St. Joseph's Athletic Club for their annual 10km with 258 Runners from 26 Clubs completed the course.
