Tuesday Mixed
What a great way to finish off another successful Tuesday Mixed season! We were treated to a lovely evening of sunshine, and it was fantastic to see such a great turnout for the final competition.

The evening got off to a fun start with a blind draw, giving everyone the chance to play with someone new. For many, it meant partnering with someone they hadn't played with before, which added a bit of fun, plenty of laughs, and a nice twist to the evening.

A huge thank you to Nodlaig and Seamus for all the time and effort they put into organising the Tuesday Mixed over the past 13 weeks. Your dedication and hard work made the competition such an enjoyable part of the golfing calendar, and it's very much appreciated by everyone.

Our sincere thanks also go to Éanna Pro Shop for their generous weekly sponsorship throughout the season. Your continued support is greatly appreciated.

Finally, thank you to everyone who came along and supported the Tuesday Mixed each week. Whether you were lucky enough to pick up a prize or simply enjoyed the golf and the company, it was the friendly atmosphere and great camaraderie that made the competition so special. Here's to another successful season—and we look forward to doing it all again next year!

Play in Pink for Breast Cancer Research was a tremendous success today. From the beautiful weather and wonderful atmosphere to the fantastic costumes and great sense of fun, the club was buzzing throughout the day. We were delighted to welcome visiting teams from Athenry, Woodstock, Limerick, Tipperary, Rosslare, Portumna, Castletroy, Ballyneety, Adare and Ballybunion whose participation, together with the outstanding support from our own members, made the event truly special.

A heartfelt congratulations and sincere thank you to Nodlaig O'Grady and Jo Aherne for their exceptional work in decorating both the clubhouse and the course. Their creativity, enthusiasm and tireless efforts added so much to the occasion and helped create a memorable day for everyone involved.

Mary McDonnell RIP
It is with great sorrow that we share with you the sad news of the passing of our dear friend and fellow golfer Mary McDonnell. A proud Cork woman and dedicated teacher she was a much loved member of our women’s club and a familiar face at our Tuesday morning golf. She thoroughly enjoyed the friendship, companionship and laughter that those mornings brought.
Above all else Mary was devoted to her family and she would happily cancel golfing to mind her beloved grandchildren.
Mary will be fondly remembered for her warmth, her friendship and the joy she brought to our club.
Our heartfelt condolences go to her family and loved ones at this very difficult time.
May she rest in peace.

Tuesday Mixed Play in Pink - prizegiving

Winners Philo Freeman and Tristan O'Rourke will go on to represent the club later in the season at the Foursomes in Muskerry Golf Club, Cork.

Tuesday 28th July will be our last Mixed of the season - there will be a draw for partners at 5.30pm on that evening.

Seamus and Nodlaig would like to thank our sponsor, Eanna Jones Golf, and our members for the tremendous support they have provided for this event over the past three months.

Lady Captain’s Day – Diana Austin
Saturday, 18th July, was a truly fabulous day and evening celebrating our Lady Captain, Diana Austin. The sun shone brightly without being too hot, creating the perfect conditions for golf. There was a wonderful turnout of ladies on the course, the flowers inside and around the golf club were in beautiful bloom, and there was a warm, happy atmosphere throughout the day. The celebrations continued into the evening with family, friends, and lady club members gathering for a delightful prize-giving. A few entertaining ditties and songs provided the perfect ending to a memorable occasion. Thank you, Diana, for everything you do. We are incredibly proud to have you as our Lady Captain.

Captain’s Day Lottery
To add a little fun and excitement to Captain Diana’s Day and raise money for charity there will be a lottery. Each player in both the 18 and 9 hole competition has been assigned a number. Those playing in the respective competitions are kindly requested to choose a number, write your name on it and pop €2 in the box.
At the end of the day whoever chose the winners in both the 9 and 18 holes gets half the respective pots and Milford Hodpice gets the rest.
Please take part and don’t forget to bring your coins. Charts are in the Locker Room Foyer.
