So, with 1 week to go until our meet and greet in blackwater park on May 31st at 7:15pm now is a good time for a little info regarding what we are about.
I have taken countless people of all ages who never ran before, from couch to 5km...5km to 10km...right up to marathons. Iβve helped people improve their times over many distances. Thereβs no such thing as someone who canβt run, or canβt improve and thatβs what I aim to show you.
As someone who was really over weight and started from zero and worked my way up I know how it feels to be nervous about taking up running or joining a group for the first time. We will make sure you are made feel comfortable in your surroundings
I knew that I wasnβt at other peopleβs levels of fitness or abilities so I had to find mine. With this in mind, you will only ever be running to the level youβre currently at and build from there.
When I started running it was never about fast times or distances, it was about learning to run safely and most importantly, enjoying it. With that in mind, the most important thing you will learn is how to enjoy running first and foremost and everything else will follow naturally.
Running is all about support. The benefits of running with people of similar abilities to you, will make it so much easier as you will never be on your own and you have others around you to motivate you.
With a supportive Whats App group to help you even further, you will never be far away from advice, tips and you have somewhere to ask questions on anything youβre not sure of.
I hope to see you for a chat next Monday.
