We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Margaret “Mags” Hand, the beloved wife of our friend Jack Hand.

Jack is much more than a familiar face at the MDL Grounds. He’s someone many of us chat to every weekend — always there, always welcoming, and always ready with a kind word for visiting teams, supporters, and officials. For so many people, Jack is matchday at the grounds.

On behalf of everyone involved in the MDL, we want Jack to know that he and his family are in our thoughts. We are thinking of you, Jack, and sending our heartfelt sympathy and support at this very difficult time.

May Mags rest in peace.

It’s a family affair as all the kids arrive for their games here today with the North Eastern Regional League Credit Union Plus Coaching Leagues. Looks like dad/Coach has lots of help today.

It is with immense sadness that we share the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Gerry “Muller” Moore.

Gerry has been involved in the grounds since day one and, to his credit, was the heart and soul of the place. He looked after everything on site, and it breaks our hearts that we are writing these words about him.

Gerry was also a founding member of the NEFL and, in his younger days, proudly wore the Robinstown jersey. He was the purest example of a heart of gold — kind, committed, and always there when needed.

Gerry will be incredibly missed by us all.

Due to the damage to the MDL and High winds on site, all Games are off in the MDL Today, Saturday, 4th October
