🏹 Irish Open 3D Championships 2026 – Hosted by Slaney Archers 🏹

WOW! What an incredible achievement!

We are immensely proud of Drewstown Archers member Gordon Kelly, who absolutely shot out of his skin at the Irish Open 3D Championships last weekend. His performance was nothing short of outstanding, delivering some truly incredible scores throughout the competition.

Not only is Gordon an exceptional archer, but we are also incredibly fortunate to have him as part of our club. His dedication, skill, and sportsmanship make him a valued member of the Drewstown Archers family.

A huge congratulations to our very own GORDON KELLY, who takes home the title of Barebow Men Gold Medallist! 🥇🏹

What a fantastic day at Drewstown Estate last Sunday as Drewstown Archers hosted our very first outdoor WRS 720 + H2H Competition in the beautiful sunshine of the Walled Garden ☀️🏹

A huge thank you to all the archers who travelled to compete and helped make the event such a success. Special thanks also to Ron & Swaran for judging, and to Jim for being DOS for the day.

We were especially proud to see some brilliant performances from the Drewstown gang:

Harbour House Archery Club will be hosting an Archery 4 All (720 Competition & Knockouts) on 13th June 2026. This event is specifically for archers with a disability and aims to provide an inclusive and enjoyable competitive experience for all participants.

Targets will be set at distances ranging from 10 metres to 70 metres, allowing for a variety of abilities and experience levels. Entry to the event is free for all.

A fantastic weekend in Enniscorthy saw some brilliant performances from the lads. Stephen claimed gold in the U15 Recurve Men category 🥇, while Gordon secured bronze in the Barebow Men category 🥉. Huge thanks to Slaney Archers for hosting such a great event, and congratulations to all who made the podium!

🏹 Women in Sport – Come & Try Archery Event 🏹

What a fantastic day with Drewstown Archers! Today we welcomed women who were curious about archery and gave them the chance to step up to the line and give it a go.

There was great energy, plenty of laughs, and some impressive shooting throughout the day. A huge thank you to Sharon and Jim for their amazing guidance and patience while helping everyone learn the basics and build confidence with the bow.

And of course, special thanks to the wonderful Lorna for organising such a welcoming and inspiring event.

It was truly a fabulous day celebrating women in sport, trying something new, and supporting each other. We hope to see many of our new archers back on the range again soon! 💪✨
