Former F1 driver Pedro De La Rosa has defended Canadian Lance Stroll in a recent interview with ‘F1 - Beyond The Grid,” saying that at some circuits, Stroll is unbeatable.

De La Rosa, who was appointed an ambassador for Aston Martin’s Formula 1 outfit in 2022, spoke very highly of Stroll in response to recent criticism, saying that at some circuits he matches his teammate, two time world champion and former teammate of De La Rosa himself.

At the Italian Grand Prix, Stroll became the first Formula 1 driver to be eliminated from Q1, 100 times.

Do you agree with Pedro?

The Irish Strykers championship is heating up heading into the final few rounds of the season. Wicklow’s Kevin McGrath has been on top form all year long, but closely followed by David Reynolds.

The ‘Alpine’ coloured Stryker racer will be hoping to channel his inner Pierre Gasly this weekend as the class hits the circuit at Mondello Park. The open top sports car class is bound to be as entertaining as ever!

Congratulations Jack!

Sean McClements Racing with a big weekend on the simulator, as he qualified for the Global Esports Games later on this year in Los Angles 🇺🇸. The competition saw some of the finest racing talents in Europe take to two heat races this weekend, with the top 10 qualifying. Sean made it simple, and qualified without breaking a sweat.

Congratulations Sean, mega result 💪🏻

Ahead of Leinster trophy practice on the sim, I was competing in the Global Esports Championships for a chance to get a trip to LA to represent Ireland.

With 2 races, one last night and one tonight I gathered enough points to qualify! I will be representing Ireland on a professional level in December.

It was a great opportunity and I’m buzzing to be going. I have to thank RTA Virtual Motorsport and Ireland Esports Federation for the opportunity, aswell as Evan Walsh for the livery and Dylan Mcclements for some tips and tricks.

Great way to prepare for the real racing too next weekend with the Leinster trophy!

INDYCAR’s Milwaukee Mile Race 1 was red flagged for a total of 25 hours and 40 minutes before resuming under caution at the Wisconsin circuit.

Rain came down after 91 laps of the opening race of the weekend and due to the safety concerns of racing with moisture on the surface on an oval, the race never got underway again last night.

Remarkably, Race 2 of the weekend took place before the resumption of Race 1. Mexican Pato O’Ward took the win, and will lead the field to green as he was the leader of Race 1 at the red flag.

It isn’t the longest red flag period in INDYCAR. The 2016 Firestone 600 at Texas Motor Speedway was red flagged for a total of 76 days.

Another strong showing from Portlaoise’s Casey O’Gorman in this morning’s Moto3 race at Aragon as he comes in seventh.

The SIC58 Squadra Corse racer sits 19th in the Moto3 standings, but has been very strong on separate occasions, including a front row qualifying position in Texas.

O’Gorman narrowly avoided a collision, after a crash occurred between Tech3 teammates Rico Salmela and Valentin Perrone right in front of him. The race saw another collision for New Zealand’s Cormac Buchanan.

The race was won by championship leader Maximo Quiles, who holds a 97 point lead over Spaniard Alvaro Carpe.

O’Gorman will return to racing at the San Marino GP, at the Misano circuit named after the late Marco Simoncelli.

Formula 3 driver Bruno del Pino told Spanish motorsport outlet ‘Soy Motor’ that one of the first drivers to ask him about the new ‘Madring’ circuit was Ireland’s Alex Dunne.

The Spaniard had a quick response for his good friend, to which he replied “is it so you can crash?” 😅.

The Van Amersfoort Racing driver went on to say the two are good friends. Del Pino is the nephew of former F1 driver Pedro De La Rosa, and is slightly behind Dunne on his junior category career, entering his second F3 season.

Good banter from the man currently 2nd in the F2 standings 😂.

Best of luck to Jack Fildes who is hitting the circuit this weekend in the Monoposto Racing Club at Donington Park!

🏁 Welcome to Jack Fildes and his F305

Hailing from County Meath, Ireland, 17 yr old Jack has his first Monoposto outing in the F3A class this weekend. He’s no stranger to racing having started aged 14 with six wins in Junior Minis, Ireland. He has also competed in a few singleseater races in this F305 with BOSS Ireland. Jack holds the Jnr Mini lap record for Angelsey.

The Fildes are a racing family and Jack is the 4th generation racer. His grandad, John Watson’s teammate, still holds the Aintree lap record racing an F2.

Their F305 won the British F3 championship in 2005 for Carlin Racing. It sat in the Carlin reception from 2011 until last October when it was acquired by the Fildes.

Welcome to Monoposto, Jack & the Fildes!
