We have ourselves another All Star!!

⭐🇶🇦⭐🇶🇦⭐🇶🇦⭐🇶🇦⭐🇶🇦⭐

4 of the amazing 2026 side were nominated - Sam, Wally, Matty and Brandon - and for the first time since 2008, there is a Lake County name on the board as captain and leader Ronan Wallace takes the spot

Wally becomes All Star #6 from the county after John Keane (twice), Dessie Dolan, Rory O'Connell, and Gary Connaughton - this also comes after the Multy man won a spot on the Tailteann TOTY in 2022

Matthew Whittaker took the spot on the Sunday Game TOTY, Brandon ended as the 2nd highest scorer from play in Ireland after DC, and Sam was a collosus in every single game through the season. All 4 bringing their best ⭐🇶🇦

Fair play also to Kobe McDonald - the Mayo man becoming the youngest All Star in history. It is a team that, looking at quickly, is hard to argue with really as all are fully deserving. It looks like a very widespread team with 8 counties represented - not sure when that happened last, will suss out later. Probably a reflection of the new rules also making the game so much better

Conditions were really tough out there 😂😂

Early 40th present playing golf with Ian, Tye and young Zebo down in the greatest course on earth in Old Head Kinsale. An unreal experience

Sent more balls into the Atlantic than I care to mention...

An absolute annihilation for myself and the brother - But fair dues to the 2 lads who played some superb (Simon did anyway😂😂😂) golf in the most unbelievable conditions!!

Team Tye - Zebo take the honours. Scoreline never to be revealed 😂😂😐

Rematch 2027. Venue tbc 😂

9 years ago yesterday Nuala and Joe Keelan went to their first ever GAA game together when the Bridge won the IFC 2017 when Ian kicked the winner and young Cully captained the side!

Tomorrow they will attend their 2nd GAA game when the Bridge aim to win Junior 2 with young Podge captaining and some of the 2017 brigade there too!

Nuala and Joe only do county finals, hence why they never saw me cause I was dirt! 😂

Good luck to the WH sides in Leinster also in every code!

🔥HOTSHOT - SENIOR HURLING

Confirmed - Captain David Williams led the Gaels up the steps of TEG Cusack Park for a 1st title in 24 years and now can also add the top scorer to senior hurling 2026 to that too!

David was also the top from play in 2026 too as the Gaels helped avoid the unwanted record of being the first team ever to lose 4 finals in a row in WH hurling!

Thanks to MJS Building and Developement in New York for sponsoring the Hotshot senior 2026! Will be in touch soon David for prize!

🔥HOTSHOTS - SENIOR B

Confirmed - a first Back to Back Winner!!!

Having won Intermediate in 2025 and being promoted with Brigid's, Mikie Mullen has followed up his Hotshot last year with ANOTHER in Senior B this time!

Incredibly, only 1 of the top 5 scorers before the final were playing in the decider and Mikie wins it despite Brigid's not getting out of the group

Thanks a million to Smyth's Hardware, Stoves and Fireplaces for sponsoring the Senior B Hotshot for 2026! Will be in touch soon Mikie!

Thank you kindly to Lisa and Louise Darby (via Ashling Wykes Glynn 😂) for sending on the Hong Kong GAA jersey to go with the collection! Last (first!) visited there in 2009 and it was brilliant!

🔥 INTERMEDIATE FINAL WEEK

Looking ahead to the intermediate final next weekend it's a case of the beaten finalists 2025 versus the beaten finalists 2024!

Both Shandonagh and Milltown have so much at stake on Sunday, with a spot in the senior championship up for grabs as well as a bit of silverware

The two sides going well and certainly whichever wins will have plenty to say in 2027 at the top table

In terms of Hotshots, Brian is well ahead and unless there is some serious record breaking done then the Shandonagh sharpshooter will be the champ in that regard

But it's all about the title... Sunday is D-Day!

A big thanks to Flamers Ireland who are sponsoring the Intermediate Hotshot yet again for 2026!
