Sixteen miles north of Sligo in the seaside village of Mullaghmore we sail and race cruisers and dinghies in beautiful Donegal Bay. The VIVO 600.

We offer adult & child sailing courses. Summer is our busiest season with courses, regattas and social nights MSC offers sailing courses to both adults and juniors. Other courses like diesel engines, VHF, pre-assessment, first aid, navigation are also available from time to time. We are also able to provide sailing for people with disabilities with a specially designated yacht.

What a fantastic day on the water for our 2026 Junior Regatta! ⛵️☀️

With a record number of boats out on the bay, our junior sailors enjoyed three closely fought races in light conditions, showcasing great skill, determination and sportsmanship throughout the day.

A huge congratulations to Luc O’Connell, who successfully defended his Junior Regatta title from last year – an incredible achievement! 🏆

Congratulations also to Megan Lee, who was awarded the perpetual trophy as the overall winner of our Wednesday Junior Sailing Series. A well-deserved reward for a brilliant season.

A massive thank you to all of our volunteers who gave their time to help make the day such a success. From race management and safety crews to the BBQ, registration and everyone working behind the scenes – it truly takes a village.

And finally, thank you to all the parents, families, members and supporters who came along to cheer on our young sailors. Your support helped make it a day to remember.

Well done to every sailor who took part – we’re already looking forward to next year! 👏⛵️💙

⛵️ Junior Regatta – Sunday 2nd August ⛵️

The countdown is on! This Sunday we’re hosting our Junior Regatta — a highlight of the junior sailing calendar and a chance to celebrate all the fantastic sailing from our young sailors this summer. 🌊

The day will feature 3+ exciting races, with the first gun at 11:00am and a shoreside briefing at 10:15am.

After racing, we’ll finish the day with a BBQ and prize giving, where we’ll celebrate our junior sailors and announce:
🏆 Overall Wednesday Junior Sailing Series winner
🏆 Regatta winners
🎉 A range of other special prizes

We’re looking forward to a brilliant day on the water and a great celebration ashore.

We’re also looking for volunteers to help make this our best Junior Regatta yet. If you can lend a hand on the day, please get in touch with the club team.

Another Mullaghmore Regatta is in the books! ⛵️🌊

The weather certainly kept everyone on their toes, but despite some challenging conditions, we were treated to some fantastic racing over the weekend.

A huge congratulations to Blind Squirrel, our Overall IRC & ECHO Champion for 2026! 🏆

Individual Race Winners:

🏅 Commodore Cup – Blind Squirrel

A massive thank you to everyone who came out to race, to our visiting boats from Rosses Point for making the trip around to Mullaghmore, and to our incredible Race Committee and volunteers. Pulling off what was effectively a three-day regatta in just a day and a half was no small feat, and it’s a testament to the dedication and flexibility of everyone involved.

Finally, thank you to everyone who supported the regatta both on and off the water. Weekends like this are what make our sailing community so special.

The highlight of our sailing calendar is almost here!

Whether you’re planning to race, crew, volunteer, or simply enjoy the atmosphere, we’d love to see as many members involved as possible for what promises to be a fantastic weekend both on and off the water.

🌊 Due to popular demand, we’ve opened up our afternoon Cara Na Mara sessions for week 5! ⛵️

Looking for the perfect way to introduce your little ones to the water this summer? Cara Na Mara is designed to help young children build confidence on and around the water in a safe, fun and supportive environment.

They’ll:
💙 Get comfortable on the water
🌊 Learn about the sea, tides and safety
⛵️ Enjoy their first taste of sailing
😊 Build confidence, make friends and have lots of fun along the way

It’s the ideal first step before progressing into our junior sailing programmes.

Afternoon places are now available for week 5 (w/c 27th July) but they won’t last long!

A real MSC classic from days gone by is making its long-awaited return — and this summer, we’re giving it a modern twist that’s going to make it one to remember!

And we’re off!

A fantastic start to the racing season last weekend with gentle winds, sunshine and a surprise visitor just off our finishing line (swipe to end to reveal) — the perfect welcome back to the season.

Racing returns again this Saturday with first gun at 2pm and taxis running from the pontoon from 1pm. We look forward to seeing everyone back on the water!
