World Cup fever gripped Moylough '79 this evening! 🏆
There was great excitement as the iconic Jules Rimet Trophy made its way to Moylough. Our underage girls were thrilled to get up close to this famous piece of football history and enjoyed the opportunity to have their photos taken with the trophy.
A fantastic evening filled with smiles, memories, and plenty of soccer inspiration for our young stars. ⭐️⚽

Thank You to Galway County Council for supporting our girls’ soccer through the 2026 Sports Participation & Development Support Scheme.
We’ve seen a fantastic increase in participation, with three teams now active at U7, U9, and U11 levels ⚽⚽⚽⚽

Moylough '79 would like to express our deepest sympathies to the family of Amanda Stephens, especially her devoted husband Prionsias, her beloved sons James, Rían and Darragh, her father Paddy Joe, her sisters and brothers Aileen, Linda, Marie, Alan, Padraic, Olivia and Colin, and to all of Amanda's extended family, neighbours and friends.

Moylough 79 will be running a World Cup Prediction competition for the upcoming World Cup⚽️⚽️

🎟️ Entry Fee: €10 per ticket

⏰ Closing Date: All entries must be returned by Thursday, June 11th at 6:00PM

1st PRIZE €350
2nd PRIZE €100
3rd PRIZE €50

Over the coming week, coaches from all our underage teams will be helping to distribute tickets to families throughout the club. We encourage everyone to get involved and support this fundraiser, you can email or contact the number on poster for tickets or find them in some of our local businesses.
This is a vitally important source of fundraising for Moylough 79, helping us to continue developing our facilities, teams and activities for players of all ages.
We greatly appreciate the support of our members, families and the wider community. Best of luck to everyone taking part!
