A message of deep gratitude from The Davoren family upon Liam’s long awaited arrival home:

Liam continues to defy the odds with his determination, strength and pure heart.
His sweet smile and quick wit has not missed a beat. He inspires everyone who encounters his path. Liam has taught us all the invaluable lesson of never taking one single moment for granted.

Liam’s road to recovery would not be possible without the unwavering support, love, and generosity from all of our wonderful family, friends, and people of the four corners of the Earth. We cannot express how truly thankful we are.

We are forever indebted to Chairperson Liam Hynes and his outstanding “Hope4Liam” committee for all their hard work, vision, compassion, and dedication. Their efforts combined with that of the Event Organisers, Communities, Clubs, Colleges and Schools of Moycullen, Galway, Boston, Chicago, Australia and the world at large, provided our family with the resources that gave us peace of mind and, indeed, hope, for Liam.

To all of Liam’s fantastic friends, brothers, cousins and the wide circle of young people who gave so generously of themselves with pure goodness, it is inspiring and a testament to our youth. The future is bright.

A huge heartfelt thank you is owed to the caring and courageous Principal Aideen Molloy, and the extraordinary Staff of Scoil Cholmáin Tuairíní for starting the precious and uplifting weekly Rosary. The voices of the Sweet Choir of Angels that never failed to move us so profoundly.

To our Gracious Father Martin Whelan, who created a safe haven for our caring and close-knit community. To the devoted and lovely ladies who led us all in prayer. To all those who attended in person and online. Providing our family with immeasurable peace and comfort… it became a treasured cornerstone.

To the wonderful Mary Swanton, and Father Dan Finn, of the Irish Pastoral Center who organised and led the beautiful Mass of Hope and Healing for Liam. Sincere thank you to the Parishioners who attended that Mass, and all the Boston Community.

To all those who offered Prayers, Mass Cards, Religious Medals, Holy Water, Blessed Candles, Dinners, Baked Goods, Lifts, Encouraging and Inspiring Messages. To all those who gave their time, gifts and talents. To Liam’s lovely travelling Barber. All such incredible labours of love and selfless acts of kindness!

To Liam’s GP Dr. Anne Rowan, and the Medical Teams and Staff at Beaumont Hospital, Galway University Hospital, Merlin Park Unit 4 and The National Rehabilitation Centre.
Thank you for your expertise.

We are so appreciative of the care and concern from each and everyone of you.
You walked on this journey with us and lifted us up on our darkest days when we didn’t even know how we would put one foot in front of the other. We have witnessed an abundance of God’s Grace… Amazing Grace. We are truly humbled and grateful.

A gratefulness of this magnitude cannot be measured by words alone but rather the imprint that has been left on our very souls.. .

Our Deepest Gratitude
Josie, Colleen, Patrick, Gerard, Liam, and Colm

ATU Students' Union, Galway (ATU Students’ Union, Galway – Mayo) recently organised a raffle to support their friend and fellow student, Liam. The raffle raised €3,000 to help with Liam’s needs on his road to recovery.

In addition to the raffle, ATU students associated with the Event Management with Public Relations and the Culinary Arts programmes planned and produced four fundraising events that contributed €2,000 to the ATUSU campaign. The students and their lecturers are very appreciative of all the contributions made by patrons and supporters.

ATU students are delighted to contribute a total of €5,000 to Hope4Liam. Thanks to all who supported.

Walk4Liam: Join Our Month-Long Walkathon for Liam's Recovery

On Thursday, October 12, 2023, Liam's life took an unexpected turn. He needs our help now more than ever as he embarks on a long and challenging road to recovery.

To show our love and support, we're organizing a month-long event called Walk4Liam, which will run throughout May. Our goal is to walk 100km in May to raise funds for Liam's recovery.

Please visit hope4liam.com for more information about Liam's story and how you can join us in making a difference.

Additionally, we've set up a GoFundMe campaign to help cover Liam's medical expenses and provide financial support to his family. Any donation, big or small, will make a significant impact on Liam's road to recovery.

Here's the link to the GoFundMe campaign: https://gofund.me/eebf7725

Please share this message with your contacts to help this campaign reach its target. Your generosity and support mean the world to Liam and his family.

Students came together at Mervue United for an incredible 5-a-side tournament in support of their fellow ATU Galway student, Liam Davoren. Spearheaded by Liam's amazing Construction Management classmates, this event was a testament to the power of community at ATU.

With 14 teams battling it out on the pitch, the energy was electric! Skillful plays, hilarious moments, and a whole lot of determination filled the day. It didn't matter whether you were a seasoned player or a first-time participant – everyone came out to support Liam while having a blast.

This event wasn't just about football; it was a celebration of Liam's spirit. Their ongoing GoFundMe campaign is working in tandem with the tournament, and the group are on track to raise a fantastic €2k for Hope4Liam.

A huge thank you goes to Stewart Construction for their generous sponsorship of the event prizes. We're also incredibly grateful for the support from ATU Sport and ATU Students Union, who helped make this day a resounding success.

Whether you donated, played, or cheered from the sidelines, thank you for being part of this incredible community effort.
