Fat didnโ€™t go on just in one spot, and it wonโ€™t come off that one spot, just because some Instagramer said it would.
Where you lose fat, and gain is mostly down to genetics.. and there is sweet f all we can do about it!
Instead look at the whole picture! You should be increasing your exercise to feel better, gain a little muscle tone and have the energy to live your life in the best way possible!
Take a picture, and look back in a months timeโ€ฆ I swear, it you have stayed consistent, you will see a difference!

So on this topic I have good and bad newsโ€ฆ
Yes you can definitely have a few drinks weekly and lose weight! Donโ€™t let anyone tell you otherwise! I love the odd glass of vino or a whiskey and gingerโ€ฆ why not!
You are changing your lifestyle, and I want you to change your mindset about food. There are no evil foods, no good or bad! Itโ€™s about taking control and eating food that will help your goals with some treats still.. 80/20.
Butโ€ฆ.. you can overindulge, a daily habit will definitely hinder your weightloss . While you may have heard that alcohol is empty calories, but also once you consume alcohol, your body will no longer be burning fat stores and instead will use the quick energy that is in your alcoholic beverage. Another thing to bear in mind is that your cravings for high calorie foods will be higher and you may find it harder to say no.
So while I would never tell someone to avoid alcohol completely - Iโ€™m not a hypocrite! It is definitely important to be mindful if you have weightloss as your goal..

We are not hiding foods values with numbers or sins, we want you to understand food so that you do not need our help long term! We arenโ€™t worried about making a gold membership club, we are proud instead of clients graduating!
We do not just go by the number on the scales!โš–๏ธ
There are so many measurements of weightloss progress! I use measurements, progress pictures as well as weight to really get a total picture. Us women in particular will have natural fluctuations throughout the month which the scales wonโ€™t account for.
Many slimming clubs do not encourage you to exercise!
Exercising is so important for your health, itโ€™s much more than just for losing weight. Women in particular are at greater risk of getting osteoporosis if they do not do exercise regularly.
We have years of training, exams and guidelines, and guess what your slimming club host has next to none!
This is one of the most irritating things for me as a coach.. time after time I see the poor advice that has been given at these clubs without any training or evidence to back it up๐Ÿ™„
Most slimming clubs have low fat high carb plans which doesnโ€™t suit everyone! We should all be taking in a certain amount of healthy fats, especially us women as healthy fats are needed for hormone health.
We work 1 to 1 with each client as an individual not as a group! You have your own individual needs, unique to you and we do not have a one shoe fits all approach!

Put out your workout clothes the night before, ready to put on first thing before work or in your gym bag ready to be put on after work. No matter how late youโ€™re running โฐyou wonโ€™t have an excuse to not hit the gym later!

Getting a brand new program can sometimes be just the ticket for reigniting your workout motivation! Donโ€™t let your workout become stale๐Ÿฅฑ There are so many different training styles, different splits, sometimes just a change to your workout routine, and using different equipment will do wonders to helping you keep on track!
5๏ธโƒฃ ๐“๐ซ๐š๐œ๐ค ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐ฐ๐จ๐ซ๐ค๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ฌ
I used to get a calendar and cross off the days that I did a workout. Nowadays many fitness watches also will do this for you. Before the month starts, decide on how many days you would like to workout that month, then try hit or beat that number! Also track your actual workout, write down the weights that you are doing, how many reps and how hard you found it. Aim to increase those numbers in the next few weeks, that way you know you are improving and getting closer to where you want to be!
Hopefully some of these tips will help you make those workouts more of a healthy habit and less of a chore. See those workouts as โ€˜me timeโ€™, time away from your stresses and time to work on what you want!

Do you know what your fitness/ health goal is?
Ok everyone has that picture in their head of where they would like to be, how they would like to look.. maybe a memory of when they felt at their bestโ€ฆ๐Ÿ‘ธ
But thatโ€™s too vague! To open ended! I want you to get much more specific! ๐Ÿ•ต๏ธโ€โ™€๏ธ
What are 4 things you would like to achieve in the next 4 weeks! Little wins that are both achievable and will actually make you feel better about yourself.๐Ÿคฉ
Write these 4 wins down. Put them somewhere you will see them, a screensaver, on your mirror, in your calendar and prepare to tick them off as you achieve them!
๐Ÿ“ My 4 goals for the next month are:
โ–ช๏ธ To drink 2 litres of water a day
โ–ช๏ธ To go walking at least 3x a week
โ–ช๏ธ Workout 2x a week
โ–ช๏ธ To track what Iโ€™m eating and follow the plan
Of course you have long term goals, but by turning the goals into bite sized chunks that are manageable and achievable you wonโ€™t become overwhelmed at the journey you are about to embark on.

Letโ€™s be real, itโ€™s been a crazy few months!! In fact I bet that many of you are in a completely different place than you were March 2020๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ’โ€โ™€๏ธ
Iโ€™m sure you have a different view of fitness and health right nowโ€ฆ maybe you no longer are happy with where you are, and maybe your diet isnโ€™t where it was? Maybe you have fell off the wagon, or maybe now you have decided to now make your health a priority?
Personally, I am not where I was I am not as fit right now and I havenโ€™t been prioritising my own health enough. I have struggled postpartum with time, mentality and sleep๐Ÿ˜… Training has been sporadic and my diet all over the place.. I was feeling down about it all, but then I had a little pep talk with myselfโ€ฆ. Why get upset, this is a lifestyle
There will be busy moments, holidays, babies, work deadlines, family commitments, exams and apparently even global lock downs๐Ÿฆ‡๐Ÿ™„ Everyone has off days/ weeks/ months..
This isnโ€™t some short term mix, this is your health! You canโ€™t hide under a rock, brush it under the carpet foreverโ€ฆ you must at some point make the decision to do something to look after that body of yours!
Iโ€™m not perfect, Iโ€™m the same as you! But Iโ€™m going to now get back to prioritising my health. You are no go to anyone else if you donโ€™t look after your own health first! (Thereโ€™s a reason why you must put on your own oxygen mask first on airplanes!)
Just a post to remind you that if you think you are failing at fitness, you are not! You just needed a little reminder to call it back, and unpause your journey! This is a lifestyle, there will be ups and downs and if you were looking for a sign to start THIS IS IT!!!!
