Don't forget the 3 Golden Rules:
1)Be able to swim
2)ALWAYS wear a buoyancy aid. Required by law

A lively club session to wrap up our latest Level 2 Kayak Skills course and bring together our newest paddlers with Club members.

Games galore, plenty of laughs, and we were delighted to present Canoeing Ireland Level 2 Kayak Skills certificates to three fantastic ladies from our very first adult beginners course.

Huge Congratulations to Roisin, Nicole and Sanne 👏🔥

The ladies are starting to take over Monaghan Paddlers — and we are absolutely here for it! 🙌 🚣‍♀️

The effort and energy at sessions lately has been brilliant, with the competitive spirit definitely showing 😆

Over the past few sessions we’ve been working on X-rescues, T-rescues and self rescues, with great teamwork and encouragement from everyone on the water 👏

A special mention to two of our youngest members, Seàn (12) and Ruby (10), who were flying it on the self rescues and showing everyone exactly how it’s done 💪

Due to the demand for our beginner kayaking course, we’re delighted to be running a weekend course in June — perfect for those who couldn’t make our weekday evening sessions.

Join us on the water for a fun, supportive weekend designed to build confidence, learn new skills, and enjoy the outdoors while working towards your Level 2 Kayak Skills and Assessment.

Throughout the course we’ll cover key Level 2 skills, including:
✅ Safe entry & exit
✅ Forward & reverse paddling
✅ Turning & boat control
✅ Balance & edging
✅ Rescue skills & water confidence
✅ Basic journeying skills
