ort’s awareness in West Cork.”
All levels of cycling catered for- beginner, intermediate and advanced level groups available. You need to have the following:-

Min 40Km without stopping before you turn up
At least 2 managed spins
Road bike (racer) in good condition
Food / water
Spare tubes etc
Helmet
Lights
Working brakes

That last kick up St. Patrick's Hill on tired legs is no joke, fair play for digging in and getting it done.

Best of luck to our Chairperson Colin Fitzgerald, along with club members Damien McCarthy and Barry Kelly, who set off tomorrow on the Tour de Munster.

Four days, 600km, and six counties, all in aid of Down Syndrome Ireland. It's a serious undertaking, and a brilliant cause to be riding for.

Most people wouldn't attempt the Mondello 24-hour race as part of a team.. but BCC's Declan Fitzgerald aka does it solo. Every year. And this year is no different!

This will be Declan's 5th time taking on this incredible endurance challenge, and he's dedicating every pedal stroke to raising funds for an Astro pitch at Knockavilla NS, his grandson's school
A fantastic cause that will make a real difference for kids in the local community.

Tour de South Coast 2026 🚴🏼‍♂️
A fantastic turnout with 30 members representing the club today, with some taking on the 50km route and the rest stepping up to the 100km challenge (while a few others decided to leave from Bandon making it a 180km spin.. kodus lads!).
The sun was with us all day, though the headwind made sure we earned every kilometre. A superb effort from every member who took part.
Big thanks to the organisers of the Tour de South Coast for a brilliantly run event. Roll on the next one!

The crew at BCC are really looking forward to the Tour de South Coast 2026 on Sunday May 10th.

It’s one of the best local sportives on the calendar, with great routes, a brilliant atmosphere, and something for everyone with both 50km and 100km options.

We’re hoping to have a big turnout from the club on the day.

Four weeks down and just two to go. Our Couch to 60k has been a fantastic success, with 20+ riders showing up week after week. The consistency and effort from everyone has been class to see.

A big thank you to everyone who joined and committed to the process. And fair play to our club members who’ve given their time each week to support, guide, and keep things running smoothly 🙌🚴🏼‍♂️

Tonight Bandon Cycling Club were delighted to present a cheque for €500 to Bandon Athletic Club, with funds raised through our Club Time Trial.

Great start to our Couch to 60km (C260k) program.

We had 15 people out for week 1, a great mix of current members, returning faces and new people joining us for the first time. We rolled out in two groups to keep things comfortable for everyone, and we all met up after at Cracked Café in Bandon for a well earned coffee.

A nice, steady 35km spin done, exactly what week 1 is about.

Next week we’ll keep the same pace, we will also stick with the same route however will add an extra 6k of flat roads bring us up to 41km with the same elevation.

Looking forward to seeing everyone again, and if you’re thinking about joining, just send us a message 👍

Great day out at the John Shanahan Team Time Trial 👏

Phil Hartley took the win in the scratch male race 🥇

Tom², Tom Laffan and Tom Hanrahan powered to 1st in the male time bonus race 💪

Colin Fitzgerald and Lisa Hurley claimed 2nd in the mixed time bonus race 👏

Declan Fitzgerald and Caroline O'Riordan Donegan also took part… we’ll leave it at that 😅

Brilliant racing and great to see so many club members out flying 🚴‍♂️
