Huge congratulations to my amazing client Olive on an incredible achievement this weekend — summiting Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in the Atlas Mountains at 4,167m, battling a –20°C wind chill along the way.
What makes this even more inspiring is that last year she completed the trek to Everest Base Camp at 5,364m — a challenge many people only dream about.
And she has done all of this at 61 years young.
When she first came to train with me, she was struggling with knee issues and simply wanted to get stronger and move better. Through consistent strength training, mobility classes , patience, and a lot of determination, she has built the strength, resilience, and confidence to take on some of the world’s most iconic mountain challenges.
This is a reminder that:
* Age is not a limit
* Strength training changes what your body is capable of
* Consistency over time creates extraordinary results
I’m incredibly proud to have supported her along the way, but the real credit goes to her commitment and mindset. She has shown that with the right preparation and belief in yourself, the mountains — and life — are still there to be climbed.
An inspiration to anyone wondering if it’s “too late” to start. It isn’t.
