💚 We are delighted to announce a very special fundraising event at The Midleton Hub. 💚

A huge thank you to Lisa McCarthy of ReStory – The Path Home and Karen Stack MA - Relationship Mentor who have very generously volunteered their time and expertise to support our charity.

📅 Saturday, 20th June 2026
⏰ 1:00pm – 2:00pm
📍 The Midleton Hub, Bailick Road, Midleton, P25 YC64

Creating a Safe Summer for Neurodivergent Children and the Parents Supporting Them

Lisa will share practical guidance, understanding and support for parents navigating the summer months, particularly when camps, activities or holidays may not be an option. Drawing on both professional knowledge and lived experience as a parent, Lisa brings a compassionate and relatable perspective to the conversation.

Karen Stack MA will also deliver a short talk focused on supporting parents, self-care and maintaining wellbeing while caring for others.

This event is open to everyone, and whether you are a parent, grandparent, family member, professional or simply interested in learning more, you are very welcome to attend.

✨ An excellent opportunity to gain expert advice, practical guidance and support in a welcoming environment.

There is no set fee to attend. Our hosts are giving their time voluntarily, and all we ask is that attendees make a donation to support the work of The Midleton Hub. Every euro raised will help us continue providing accessible mental health services within our community.

We are incredibly grateful to Lisa and Karen for their kindness, generosity and support.

Please share to help us spread the word. 💚

This photo takes me right back to where it all began.

As a child, horses weren’t just something I loved — they became my safe place, my confidence, and my connection to the world around me. So much of my social and emotional wellbeing was shaped in moments just like this one: quiet conversations in the stable, learning trust, feeling understood without words, and finding calm in their presence.

Growing up, horses taught me patience, resilience, empathy, and how to regulate my emotions long before I even had the language for those things. They gave me confidence when I felt unsure, comfort when life felt overwhelming, and a sense of belonging that stayed with me into adulthood.

Looking back now, I can see how deeply those experiences influenced the work I do today. My passion for helping others through equine connection comes from lived experience — because I know firsthand just how powerful horses can be in supporting emotional growth and wellbeing.

This little girl had no idea that the love she felt standing beside this pony would one day lead her to this work… but I’m so grateful it did. ❤️

Walking the Darkness Into Light on Saturday we became part of what is possible when communities come together, to support one another, especially at the most difficult times. Community is at the heart of everything and the Horses for Mental Health campaign is another great illustration of this, raising awareness for the many organisations that support mental health through interactions with horses in their communities.
