Unfortunately due to circumstances out of our control we have had to make the decision to postpone group swim lessons this term. We are deeply disappointed as we were so looking forward to welcoming you all back next week but unfortunately we’ve had to postpone them due to a delay in our changing room renovations. This is to ensure the comfort for both members and swimming students.

Our swim coordinator will be in touch with all pre enrolled in the coming days. Alternatively you can email her at [email protected].

We hope to be back up and swimming (😂) by January 8th 2024.

Describe your job in 3 words? Exciting, interactive, and helpful.

Best thing about being a part of the Talbot Fitness Midleton team? I get to work with amazing staff, and we get to help people and promote a healthy lifestyle which I am all about.

What is the best piece of advice you have gotten at work? Give it 100% because you never know who you might come across in the future.

Favourite healthy food? Protein oats with mixed berries or sushi.

Favourite cheat meal? Pizza with BBQ base Cajun chicken, mixed peppers, pepperoni, peri peri chicken and if I’m feeling spicy jalapenos.

Favourite training day? Legs.

Ideal workout split? Push (Chest) legs pull (back) and legs again and then accessories.

What’s in your coffee? Plain old caramel latte with soy milk.

Favourite movie and why? Pursuit of happiness because it teaches you to graft no matter what the odds are.

Hi my names Martin I am 33 years of age. I am working in the fitness industry 7 years. My favourite class to teach is spinning or a HIIT class. I love spending time with my family and I visit my mother every Sunday for dinner 🤤

What influenced you to enter into this industry? when I was younger, I started lifting weights at 16 and I enjoy helping people understand the health and fitness industry and reasons for training.

What are you most exited about with being a new member to the Talbot Fitness Team? Making new friends, looking for a new journey, and challenge 😊

What is the best piece of advice you have gotten at work? Stick your head down and keep doing it.

Hi my names Kerri and I have been working here in Talbot Fitness Midleton for the last year.
I am currently studying Recreation and Leisure management in MTU, and I hope to graduate next year with a Bachelor of Business.
I started off as a personal trainer and teaching classes but now I am more involved in admin roles and I now coordinate our social media platforms. My Daily tasks now include creating digital signage, making up to date internal signage, providing up to date information to our followers and posting on our social media platforms.

Best thing about being a part of the Talbot Fitness Midleton team? Close working group.

What is the best piece of advice you have gotten at work? Plan Ahead.

Hey, my name is Kayla and I am a Personal trainer, swim teacher and class instructor here in Talbot Fitness Midleton.

I am currently the oldest member of staff, but I look the youngest 😂

I have been working here for the last 3 and a half years and you can usually find me bopping and singing along and chatting to members 💃🏽🕺🏽

I love working with beginners or those who find the gym daunting as I struggled in the past myself. I love watching people gain their confidence and grow and I literally dance when I see my fellow treadmill only tribe hit the free weight section – that’s HUGE 😃

Describe your job in 3 words? Rewarding, Motivating and Varied.

Best thing about being a part of the Talbot Fitness Midleton team? We learn from each other.

What is the best piece of advice you have gotten at work? Slow down LOL 😆

Favourite healthy food? My favourite nutritious snack is one of our members olive homemade granola with fresh berries and some Greek yogurt mixed with caramel drops or Annemarie’s banana bread ❤️

Favourite cheat meal? I don’t cheat 😊 But my favourite treat at the moment is pepperoni pizza and garlic mayo can’t eat it without the mayo 🍕

Favourite book? It would have to be “You Are A Badass by Jen Sincero”

Your favourite class to teach? Definitely spinning, we sing, dance and have lots of fun in my spin classes.

What’s in your coffee? A regular or white chocolate mocha

Favourite movie and why? Pay it forward because I think it’s a great life lesson, just has a beautiful meaning behind it all, go watch it 😊

Hi my name is Emma Cashman and I am the manager here at Talbot Fitness Midleton. I am also a Swim Instructor, Personal Trainer and I teach gym classes. I have been working here for the last 10 years and my favourite part of the job is teaching children how to swim.
