Beginners classes are starting on Tuesday September 8th at 7.00, we will hold 6 hourly classes on a weekly basis, after the classes most people know if boxing training is for them or not, if anyone is interested text or WhatsApp your name and contact details to 0851741684. We will send you full details of the classes, registration and what you need, male and female beginners are welcome but you must be 11 or older. This is strictly for anyone who has not boxed before. This class is almost full, only a few spaces available.

Last seasons boxers resume training on Monday 7th September for the new season, at the moment these classes are full, spaces may become available if people opt not to return.

Three of our boxers took part in the West of Ireland Novice Box Cup in Conamara, great experience for Adam Dyar, Rory Nugent and Davis Melnacis, this is their first year of competion for the lads and all performed really well. Disappointment for Reinis Paluhs whose opponent from Cork failed to enter the ring for the last bout of the day.

We would like to acknowledge the generous donation to the club from Maurice Manning, Maurice is a Loughrea native and lived on Barrack Street. He has spent most of his life in the USA and now resides in Toledo Ohio. He has never lost his connections to the town and has always been a great supporter of sport and activities for young people. As we celebrate our 70th anniversary this donation is a great help to us, many thanks Maurice.
