The Slieve Aughty Mountain trotters are the young riders that ride each week at Slieve Aughty Centre

Welcome to the Slieve Aughty Mountain Trotters page. Our children’s lessons running every Friday afternoon, Saturday and Sunday and focus on safety, learning and most importantly fun! We like to involve our Trotter's in all aspects of not only riding, but also caring for their designated pony and the yard itself, which we hope instils a sense of responsibility in each child that they will

carry though their horsey life! Riding lessons vary each week depending on the group’s needs, the weather and of course what our Trotter's want to do. Dressage, Showjumping, Games, vaulting, treks, natural horsemanship and theory are all included in the Mountain Trotters programme. Children also have the opportunity to pursue Mountain Trotters Levels. This is a great way for kids to increase their ability and have a goal to be working towards each week and for those in Pony Club or who would like to go on and pursue their BHS exams, it is a great starting point. It is also an excellent way to learn more about horsemanship for those who have or hope to have their own pony someday. Hello Everyone,

I’m Savannah, the new instructor at Slieve Aughty Centre. I’m thrilled to join such an amazing team and be part of this wonderful yard. With many years of experience working with horses and teaching both adults and children, I’m excited to bring my passion for riding here. For those I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting yet, I’m looking forward to getting to know you, sharing some fun treks, and watching your riding skills grow. Hi to all the amazing slieve aughty riders,

I am writing this to let you all know i won't be teaching at slieve aughty from the 1st of July. I want to say how great it has been teaching you all over the past 6 years and watching you improve and grow in confidence and riding ability. I will miss you all very much and will pop in to say hi from time to time :) good luck with your future riding and i hope you all keep it up.
