💜✨ Women in Sport Week 2026 ✨💜
We’re proud to celebrate Women in Sport Week, an annual initiative led by Sport Ireland, taking place March 2nd–8th, 2026.
This year’s theme is “Same Energy.”
Same Energy challenges us all to ask:
Are we bringing the same energy, excitement, commitment and visibility to women’s sport as we do to men’s sport?
Whether it’s planning the next international fixture, allocating budgets, coaching a session, cheering from the sidelines, or volunteering in your club this is a call to match that energy and get behind women and girls in sport.
Women in Sport Week aims to:
🌟 Celebrate every woman and girl who plays, coaches, officiates, volunteers, leads or works in sport
🌟 Highlight the ongoing work of sporting organisations and clubs supporting women in sport
🌟 Showcase programmes funded through the Sport Ireland Women in Sport Programme
Throughout Women in Sport Week Longford Sports Partnership will celebrate and showcase various amazing programmes, leaders & sportswomen.
🚶♀️💬 Join Us – Saturday, March 7th at 11am for a Women’s & Girls, Walk & Talk
