D2W Match Victory!

What an exciting match we had today! 🎉

The team started strong, taking the first set with confidence. 💪 The second set was a tough one, and we lost it. We didn’t let that stop us, though! We came back with determination and won the third set. 💥 Unfortunately, the fourth set didn’t go our way, but we fought hard and secured the win in the fifth set! 🏆

Amazing resilience and teamwork from everyone. Let’s keep this winning spirit alive! 🔥

Our last league match is away next week against Mayo. Let’s go for another win! 💪

This weekend promises exciting volleyball action as Longford Smashers host two important home games at the Community Campus in Edgeworthstown.

On Saturday, 11th April at 3:00 PM, the Men’s team (D3M) will compete in the Quarter-Finals against Octopus. This is a crucial match, and the team will be aiming to secure a place in the next stage of the competition with a strong performance in front of their home supporters.

On Sunday, 12th April at 3:30 PM, the Women’s team (D2W) will take to the court for Matchday 13 against Santry Cosmopolitan. With the season progressing, every game counts, and the team will be determined to deliver a solid result.

Both matches will take place at the Community Campus in Edgeworthstown, and supporters are encouraged to come along and cheer on the Longford Smashers for an exciting weekend of volleyball.

What a game! Longford Smashers D2W is unbeatable! Our hardest game so far and we did it. Where first set we got easy, then second one we were losing 6:0 in the beginning but we ended winning that set! Third set was only formality! Longford Smashers D2W vs Santry Cosmopolitan 3:0!!! We're finishing this year without losing a set! So excited for 2026!!!! ❤️❤️❤️🏐🏐🏐👊💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 Joanna, Dorota, Asmaa, Inga, Agnieszka , Aneta and our coach Sam, super going girls!!!

What a great last couple of weeks for both of our teams. D2W and D3M played 4 games for each team and all won. However, girls are on fire! Not only keep winning , but won all so far without losing a set! There is one more away game for the D2W team next Saturday this year. So far, both teams are on first position in groups! Our both teams coming back to action this weekend 🏐🏐🏐 it's our first home games this season. On Sunday girls will play vs Jackals at 3.30pm and straight after, D3M team will play at 6pm vs Cavan Cats. Both games will take place in Edgeworthstown Community Campus. What's even more exciting, we are organising cake sale that day. Please come and support us. There will be lots treats to buy, we can all play and we can all bake too. It will be great to have support🏐🏐🏐🎂🧁🧁🎂🧁🤍
