Massive congratulations to our Senior Ladies and management team on a fantastic win this morning that saw them take a 19 point win away to Clonguish in the final round of the Senior Championship.

Playing against the wind in the first half was no challenge for our Ladies as Clodagh Lohan's hat-trick early on sent our Ladies into the break with a 6-03 to 1-07 lead.

The second half saw the points tally adding up on the board as Grace, Jess, Kate and Lara all contributed to some well worked scores.

While the scores were adding up, the back line made sure there was to be no signs of a comeback with Eimear, Niamh, Sinead, Aisling, Orla, Caoimhe and shot stopper Emer Casey staying sharp and solid throughout. Orla added to her solo goal with two big blocks to prevent opposition scores.

To top it all off, our Senior Ladies club got to witness the waving of the orange flag for the very first time as Jessica Barry pinned a 2 point free in the latter stages of the second half.

Well done to all involved in this morning's win and to the supporters who were out in numbers to get behind our Ladies 💪💪💪👏👏👏👏

🩵🤍🩵🤍🩵🤍🩵🤍🩵🤍🩵🤍🩵🤍🩵🤍 Congratulations to our U14 girls who were crowned u14 B champions last night after they were victorious against Sean Connolly's. The girls had won 3 of their 4 group games with the only defeat coming against their final opponents. The game was slow to start with both teams guilty of some poor shooting but once the nerves settled our girls got on top winning many of the opposition kick outs to set up some excellent scores. With both teams exchanging points it was the 3 goals that sent Slashers in at half time with a good lead of 3-5 to 0-5.

The second half started well for Slashers when we got the first point to extend the lead to 10pts but this seemed to stir Connollys into life as they scored 2-3 without reply to narrow the gap to a point.
However the Slashers girls responded brilliantly by seeing out the game by adding 2-5 to our tally to finish with 5-11 to Sean Connollys 2-9.

A huge well done to these fantastic girls and their managers, John, Pauric and Gordon. What an exciting game to watch. The Sean Connolly girls fought right to the very end and gave it everything. They are always a great team to play against, and there is always such a wonderful, respectful atmosphere between both teams, managers and supporters.

A fantastic achievement for a great bunch of girls.

Our u11 girls had a fantastic time down at the Garry Kenny Festival of Football blitz hosted by Celbridge GAA CLUB yesterday. Massive thanks to your club for a superbly organised event.

The girls played five really competitive games against opposition from:
Four Masters (Donegal)
Cooley Kickhams (Louth)
Celbridge (Kildare)
Donaghmore Ashbourne (Meath)
Mountbellew Moylough (Galway)

Congratulations to Lara Ryan who claimed the overall player recognition award for the team. Maith thú!

Massive thanks to our coaches and to the parents and kids who travelled down to roar on the mighty girls.

Due to circumstances outside of the clubs control relating to ongoing construction/roadworks outside of the Slashers clubhouse and the associated traffic management, we unfortunately can’t host our traditional back-to-school 5th & 6th class disco this Friday night.

However, we have the next Disco already in the books and it will be on Friday October 23rd 🎃🪩🕺🏻💃🏻

Refunds will be processed in the upcoming days for whoever has purchased a ticket.
