Longford Basketball Tournament returns September 25th -27th with teams entered in both Ladies & Mens competitions from the 4 province's & the UK.
The Ladies will battle it out for the Sexton/Smith Cup, while the Men with battle it out for the Bracken/Curran Cup.
3 days of matches start with opening pool games on Friday in the Mall Complex from 7 & 8pm. This is followed by pool matches starting at 9am Saturday running until 6pm at St.Mels College & the Mall Complex.
On Sunday the semi-finals & finals take place in the Mall Complex starting at 10am.
Fixtures will follow soon.
Entry to all games is free, so why not come along and support the local sides. Longford Phoenix Ladies & Men, St.Mels College & Rebels&Rooster Men.
This year the club are delighted to welcome back on board as a tournament sponsor Edward J Valentine & The Spiral Tree. For many years Valentine’s have been huge supporters of basketball in Longford.
Saturday Nights tournament social will be held in the Spiral Tree and this will give all the teams a chance to mingle and mix with old and new friends. We kick off the night at 9pm until the early hours of Sunday.
