A Fantastic Day of Football, Friendship and Community
What a fantastic day it was at the Ballydonoghue & Rockland Under-10 Blitz
From the very beginning, this event was a true reflection of what can be achieved when a club and its community come together. The amount of work, time and commitment that went on behind the scenes was enormous, and a huge thank you must go to every single person who played their part in making the day such a success.
A special word of thanks goes to all our volunteers, club members, committee members, coaches, Mothers & Others, Senior Team, and our Under-10 mothers, fathers and guardians, stewards and everyone who assisted preparing the pitches and organising the games, keeping the scores, welcoming teams, providing refreshments, baking, setting up and cleaning up afterwards — every job, big or small, helped make the day what it was.
We were also delighted to welcome our friends from Rockland, New York, and what a special occasion it was to have the Rockland families here with us. Their involvement and enthusiasm added hugely to the day, and we hope every family enjoyed their time in Ballydonoghue.
A very special thank you goes to William O’Donnell and Samantha O’Donnell, Pa Ryan and Mary Ryan for their incredible involvement in bringing the Rockland connection together and helping make this wonderful occasion possible. Their commitment to building the friendship between our clubs is hugely appreciated.
And then there was the football! There was some fantastic skill, effort and sporting spirit on display throughout the day, with all the young players giving it everything and, most importantly, enjoying themselves.

Congratulations to all the winners and, of course, to every team that took part. The standard of football was excellent, but the real winners were all the children, their families and the friendships made throughout the day.
The weather couldn't have been better, with glorious sunshine providing the perfect backdrop for a brilliant day of football, laughter and community spirit.
Another massive THANK YOU to everyone who baked, cooked, served, organised, coached, refereed, scored, prepared the pitches, helped around the grounds, welcomed our visitors or simply turned up and supported the day and showed what our club is about, its about coming togetherand connecting.

Days like this don't happen without an army of people working quietly behind the scenes, and Ballydonoghue GAA Club is incredibly lucky to have such a fantastic group of volunteers and families who are always willing to step forward and help.
To our friends from Rockland, New York — thank you for making the journey and for being part of such a special day. You were given a huge Ballydonoghue welcome, and we hope this is the beginning of many more visits and shared memories between our clubs. 💚💛🗽
