🌟 Member Spotlight: Sarah’s Journey of Strength & Resilience 💪💙

For the past two years, Sarah has been showing us all what true determination looks like. Living with cystic fibrosis hasn’t stopped her from embracing fitness and making the gym a huge part of her life. 🏋️‍♀️

Since joining BASE, she has gained a new lease on life—improving her quality of life, fitness, and confidence in ways she never imagined. The gym has become more than just a place to work out; it’s a space where she feels supported, empowered, and encouraged every step of the way. 💙

Our team is always here to help Sarah adapt workouts to suit her needs, ensuring she can keep pushing forward safely and effectively. Seeing her journey unfold has been inspiring to everyone around her! 🙌✨

is proud to have played a part in achieving these awards and contributing to making Listowel an Autism-Friendly Town! Inclusivity and accessibility are at the heart of what we do, and we’re committed to continuing our efforts to support our community ❤️

This morning the Autism Friendly Town Committee had the pleasure of welcoming Fiona Ferris who is Deputy CEO & Head of training with AsIAm.

Fiona delivered invaluable training to the committee about Autism, while contributing her own experiences as an Autistic adult and a parent to a child on the spectrum.

Fiona shared practical, relatable knowledge and strategies to assist others in supporting the Autistic community.

The committee will use this knowledge to deliver the Champion training to Listowel businesses in their journey to becoming an Autism Friendly Town.

We have made great progress already & received 2 awards that we had been nominated for at the AsIAm awards in Dublin:

✨ Sensory Accessibility

Here our the 2 town awards, which are on display in St John's Theatre & Arts Centre.

Instead, we encourage you to bring your own towel 🏋️‍♂️🧺 for personal use at the Centre. Every small step makes a BIG impact on protecting our planet! 🌍💚
