Founded in 1985 by a handful of people we now have more than 200 members. Enda's Sports Complex, in Limerick, with about 30 athletes. This was followed that summer by the first "Hell of the West" triathlon, where approx. 40 athletes came from far and wide to Kilkee's East End, to compete in the grueling triathlon, and dance the night away in the Atlantic Hotel. Every year we organise a Duathlon, t

he Joey Hannan Memorial Triathlon and the Hell of the West Triathlon in Kilkee which has evolved from a 40-athlete race to one of several hundred! New members are always welcome. We offer training sessions to cater for all abilities, which change seasonally - check out the training timetable on our website for the most up-to-date information.

🔥 HELL OF THE WEST TRIATHLON TRAINING DAY 🔥

Join us this Saturday 20th June for a course familiarisation and group training session in Kilkee 🌊

🏊 Swim Meet-Up
📍 Bandstand swim start
🕥 10:30am (high tide)

🚴 Group Cycle
🕦 Meet back at the bandstand around 11:30am to head out for a group ride of the race course.

🏃 Optional Run
After the cycle, anyone keen can head out for a run at their own pace.

🛟 Bring your swim floaties for the training swim (please note they will NOT be permitted on race day). Please beware that water temp is lower this time of year so these are a couple of things we need to keep in mind and look out for ⚠️

Whether you’re racing Hell of the West for the first time or looking to sharpen up before race day, come along and train with the group.
