We provide the highest quality service by the highest trained CyTech mechanic, with a B.Sc in Sports Science, Cycling Ireland Coach and British Cycling Coach, whether you’re getting your bike serviced or getting yourself fitted to your bike you know you are in the best hands. We pride ourselves in our quality service, and any bike brought in to the shop before 12 will be repaired, serviced and ready for collection the same day - unless we need to order parts.

Most people would look at a damaged thread and assume the frame was ruined.

It wasn’t.

A little patience, the correct tap, and the right experience restored the mounting point and got this bike ready for its upcoming touring adventure.

It’s often the small details that make the difference between a bike that’s unusable and one that’s ready for thousands more kilometres.

There was just a bike.

I still remember the feeling of heading out with no plan and no destination. Just riding to see what was over the next hill, down the next lane, or around the next corner.

Looking back, bicycles gave me something long before they became my career.

They gave me freedom.

Freedom to explore.

Freedom to disappear for a few hours.

Freedom to dream a little bigger than the world immediately around me.

More than 40 years later, that feeling is still there.

Some things were decided long before I realised it.

Over 40 years ago, my dad was cycle touring across Europe with me riding on the back of his bike.

Back then I had no idea bicycles would become such a huge part of my life.

From childhood adventures, to racing mountain bikes, studying Sports Science, coaching riders, managing several bike shops, and now launching VeloWorx, bikes have been a constant thread running through my story.

Looking back, I don’t think I ever really chose bicycles.

They chose me.

What started as adventures on the back of my dad’s bike became a lifelong passion, a career, and countless friendships along the way.
