Donegal Killymard 2 - 1 Drumkeen Utd

The u16 lads were very unlucky to come away from Donegal Town empty handed this evening after putting in a good performance. The boys battled well in the first half, with Jaden Bradley causing all.sorts of difficulty for the Donegal defence. We took the lead on 25 minutes when Canice Friel's thunderous free kick sent the net bulging.. it looked like we'd take the lead into the break, but Donegal struck on the stoke of half time with a high looping shot ending up in the Drumkeen net.

The lads started strongly in the second half and the game was right in the melting pot. Unfortunately for us, it was Donegal that took the lead with a well.taken goal with only 15 minutes left to play. We pushed forward and both Joshua Price and Sean kilpatrick tested the keeper, but couldn't trouble the scoreboard. A great battling performance from the lads.

The Drumkeen United Annual General Meeting will be held at our Clubhouse on Monday 29h June at 8pm.

All Club Members are asked to attend and New members are always welcome.

Ballybofey Utd 1 - 1 Drumkeen Utd
Our u12s travelled to Ballybofey this evening for their second league match of the season and came away with a share of spoils after a great performance. We started the game well and were rewarded with a goal on 10 minutes, Luke Scanlon putting in a fine cross that was matched by a fine finish from Aidan Og O'Boyle. We had a few chances to add to our tally but the half time scored remained 1 nil.
Ballybofey came out strong in the second half and drew level on 41 minutes with Dylan McNulty finding the net. The home team pressed hard for a winner but we battled hard with some great defending earning us a hard earned draw.

Another great evening of football this evening as our u10 boys and girls made the trip to Lifford for our first league games of the season against Lifford Celtic and Raphoe Town. Our players played some lovely football and are improving with every outing. Keep up the good work.👍⚽ Thanks to Lifford for hosting us and to both teams for good games
