A massive well done to our members who took on ‘ArdRox’ at the weekend 💪🏻

It’s great to see all the hard work and effort you put in at training out on the competition floor 🙌🏻

The rain didn’t stop these ladies from absolutely smashing the Half Hyrox Sim in Ardara.

For a lot of these ladies it was their first time to do something like this so we love and support you pushing outside that comfort zone 💪🥵 The newer members and long term stalwarts alike 🙂

A special mention to Elaine and Sinead who took home 3rd in the ladies doubles 🥉 And Tara who took home 🥈 in women’s singles.

Unlike barbells or dumbbells, sandbags create an unstable load distribution — meaning the resistance shifts during movement. Your body has to constantly react by increasing muscular recruitment, core activation, grip demand, and stabilisation.

Research on unstable loading shows it can improve:
• proprioception (body awareness)
• trunk stability
• coordination
• force transfer through movement patterns
