What a weekend! 💥

A brilliant couple of competitions starting with the 18th UKF Invitational Tournament on Saturday thanks to Ulster Karate Do Federation in Burnfoot, followed by an early start on Sunday for Mary competing in Lisburn at the Northern Ireland Karate Open hosted by Northern Ireland Karate Board

Huge well done to everyone — an incredible display of courage, skill, and determination all round.

🥇🥈🥉 Burnfoot Results (Saturday):
Matthew Langan – Bronze, Inclusive Kata
Oleksandr Terpetskyi – Gold, Jurakan & Bronze, Kata
Seamus Carr – Silver, Kata
Jenny Carr – Bronze, Jurakan
Lilly Bradley – Silver, Jurakan & scored her first 2 points in Kumite 👏

Special mention to Liudmyla Terpetska and Marie Gibson for setting all new personal bests in Kata, along with Seamus 💪, blown away by your performances on the mat.

We made it to 4th in the table at Burnfoot too, outatanding for only a small team of newbies 😃❤️☺️🎉

🥋 Mary Results:
Burnfoot (Sat): 2 Golds Kumite, 1 Gold Kata, 1 Silver Kata
Lisburn (Sun): Silver in Kata

And a very special thanks to Seamus Gillespie for his help in my corner on Saturday and to Alan McConnell for coaching me on Sunday and sharing the driving.

Absolutely fantastic effort from everyone involved — proud of the whole team 🥳🥳🥳 and it was especially amazing to have such great support there for kumite ❤️

Had a brilliant session with Luis Maria Sanz sensei. It's always amazing. Looking forward to the next one already. Thanks to Simon O'Dowd from Strabane Shotokan Karate Club for the very kind invite.

JKS Ireland Championships in tallaght yesterday.

There were massive mixed male and female kata categories and glad to report got

Bronze in kata 🥉

First time back successfully after a long head injury and delighted with a

Gold in kumite 🥇

Onwards and upwards. Thanks to Dermot OKeeffe for having us.

We hit 10th on the leaderboard out of 23 clubs, which is amazing with only one down.
