The Old Course today is a spectacular links and is the product of design originally by Old Tom Morris and more significantly in the 1920’s by Alister MacKenzie, the links were modernised and enhanced further by Martin Hawtree in 2003. Lahinch is consistently ranked among Europe’s Top-20 and World Top-50 golf courses. GOLF magazine ranked Lahinch #42 in the world in their 2011 rankings.

In the lead up to the Walker Cup, Lahinch Golf Club invited local businesses to get involved with a Window Dressing competition, and what a response it was! The whole village came alive with Walker Cup spirit, and we couldn’t be more grateful to every business that took part in helping build the buzz around this incredible event.

Last Friday, Lady Captain Miriam O’Keeffe, Lady President Jenny Cagney and Lady Vice Captain Maire Falvey presented to the following winners:

On , a huge thank you must go to our amazing greenkeeping team at Lahinch Golf Club!

Your dedication helped make last week’s Walker Cup an unforgettable event. The course conditions were a true credit to your hard work, early mornings, and attention to detail. Players, spectators, and the golfing world all got to see Lahinch at its very best.

We’d also like to thank the volunteers who travelled far and wide to support our team, your energy and effort on the course made all the difference.

A club steeped in amateur golf history.

Home to the South of Ireland Amateur Championship, played since 1895, and the club that produced John Burke who represented Great Britain & Ireland in the 1932 Walker Cup.

This day two weeks, the history continues as we host the 51st Walker Cup.
