NOW LAUNCHING our updated class schedule for Summer 2026. 🌞

Here's what you need to know:

1) The last chance to take Raph's Core Blast at 10am is Tuesday, 2 June. Give it a go before it's gone!

2) The kids' dance fit + kickboxing class commences on Thursday, 4 June. It's 45 minutes long. We understand that many kids aren't out of school yet; we'll be ready when they are! The class is fit for kids of all ages, based on maturity and willingness. It will be a blend of easy pop music dance classes and cardio kickboxing. Emily is the coach, and this isn't her first rodeo with the yungins! Parents are welcome to watch. Kids are welcome to bring books/ iPads as back-up if they decide halfway through the class that they've had enough. Emily will set them up in the corner on a yoga mat. :)

3) The gym circuits class takes place in the gym. It will integrate cardio and strength machines in a circuit format. The class is 50 minutes long. All abilities welcome. Emily is the coach.

4) Thursday morning's yoga class is now 8:30am. It's 50-minutes long and taught by Emily. All abilities welcome!

5) Bootcamp has been super fun! We try to integrate outdoor running when the weather suits. Come give it a try if you haven't yet.

You've probably heard about fibre as being the next-best thing in nutrition. But what is it and why does it matter?

Fibre is the common term for non-starch polysaccharides, or NSP. It is indigestible plant material typically found on the husks and outer layer of grains, fruits, and vegetables.

While fibre doesn't provide any of it's own energy, it is indispensable in helping usher other energetic nutritional content through the digestive tract.

Fibre slows and aids digestion, leading to the sensation of fullness and satiety for longer. It also creates a healthy, functional digestive biome.

Adding more fibre to your diet is easy! Just eat more fruits and vegetables, especially uncooked.

If you're vegetarian, vegan, or just following nutrition-based social media content, you might have come across the term "complete protein." What does it mean?

A complete protein means that the food contains all 9 of the essential amino acids in sufficient amounts. So long as you eat enough of those 9 essential acids, your body can synthesize the remaining 11 on its own.

Which foods are complete proteins, then?

Examples include eggs, meat, poultry, dairy, and fish. Vegetarian examples include soy foods, buckwheat, and quinoa.

Vegetarians and vegans can also pair foods to create complete proteins. A great example is beans and rice. Balancing intake from different sources is called "complementary proteins."

"Carbs make you fat.”

Heard that one before? Let’s set the record straight: carbs aren’t the enemy—excess calories are. Your body actually loves carbs; they’re its main energy source.

The problem? Cutting them out completely just leaves you tired, cranky, and craving everything in sight. Instead of fearing potatoes or fruits, focus on balance—pair whole grains, veggies, and lean proteins, and watch your energy (and mood) stay steady.

Let’s stop blaming carbs and start nourishing smarter. 🍞💪

Gym-goers often forget to adjust the size of machines before use. Machines include multiple settings that allow the user to change the height, width, and spacing for optimal effectiveness.

For example, our hamstring curl machine has three adjustment zones: for calf length, femur length, and back positioning. Adapting the machines to your unique size ensures safe, effective, and comfortable strength training.

If you're ever unsure about how to adjust a machine, just let one of your gym instructors know! Peter, Raph, and Emily will be happy to show you how.
