G5 had 9 out this morning. The cycled down to 5 cross roads via the Gold Coast, then on to Griffens Garage with plenty of quick rollups. They cycled on to Leamybrien via a lovely back road for the coffee. After the refreshments they headed home by Durrow. A lovely 50km at 19km average.

Congratulations to Rosemarie and Sean on completing their charity spin Galway to Lisadobber 182km. What a fantastic achievement.

With lots of different events on this weekend there were only three cyclists out for the Group 4 Sunday spin. We headed out the Bog Road and then turned into a strong headwind all the way to Clashmore and onto Kinsalebeg. We continued out to the N25 and onto Youghal Bridge where we started the climb on the road to Tallow with the wind  behind us. It was a fast descent into Tallow for the coffe break. There was some misty rain as we set off for Lismore and then on through Cappoquinn with a swift spin back to Dungarvan via the Bog Road for a spin of over 88Km.
Congratulations to Rosemarie & Sean on completing 180Km spin from Galway to Lisadobber and to all who took part in the Abbeyside / Ballinacourty GAA static 24 hour cycle and Road cycle Friday & Saturday.
We would like to wish DCC Group 4 members Danny O’Rourke, Tony Condon, Ger Cusack & Howard Keogh all the best as they start the 700Km cycle from Mizen Head to Malin Head today in aid of the Cycle against Su***de charity. Keep us posted on your progress this week.

G2: on a very mild morning G2 joined with G3 for a nice steady warm up spin to the boathouse in Cappoquin where the 2 groups went their separate ways, the 5 G2ers went to Lismore then on to Tallow where 1 rider stopped to fix an imaginary mechanical, just bad legs was all it was. On to Tallow and up Tallow hill with a stiff headwind to try to keep the pace controlled, it failed. Drop down to youghal bridge where we met some more DCC coming up against us, unfortunately being overtaken by a jeep, on a continuous white line, on a bend....what can I say, patience. We headed across to kinsalebeg turning left off the main road to b given the middle finger from 2 younfellas in a white BMW, exciting spin this, we headed for Ardmore for a deserved coffee break, then back on the bikes for the pull out of Ardmore where one of tge racers decided to test his legs, a regroup at the old parish crossroads, another dig was given at Baile Mhic Art national school, another regroup at the top of the drag and all stayed together for the rest of the spin home. 100k covered @ 30kph

Group 3 spin report
On a dry and very mild morning 7 headed off with group 2 joining us for the chat as far as Cappoquin.
Turning left at the boathouse we made our way along the banks of the Blackwater to Knockanore.
At the top of the hill we swung right onto a new road (for most of us)which brought us across to The Pike and a nice descent into Tallow for ☕️at one of our favourite spots Cafe Ola.
Full of caffeine and goodies we made our way across to Ballyduff and on through Cappoquin,Dromana and Villierstown and back home through the beautiful Brickey Valley….
Special mention and shout out to John from Rhos On Sea north Wales who joined us on the Tallow to Kereen leg of the journey …
Overall a most enjoyable spin covering 96km in beautiful Autumnal conditions 👍🚴🏻‍♂️
