And that’s a wrap for National Iyengar Yoga Day 2026! Thanks to everyone who took part in today’s free Iyengar yoga class in The Fishery, Killorglin. Thanks to Bridget Moriarty for organising the event, and teaching alongside myself and Matilda Poff. Many thanks to Lisa O’Connor for the photography and not using any AI photo editing software to accentuate how good we all look. Thanks to Katya for the use of the venue. International Iyengar yoga day is on 17th January this year and as part of that myself, Matilda Poff and Bridget Moriarty are getting together to teach a *free* class in Killorglin. We’re teaching a 1.5hr class with tea/coffee after. The class will be on in the Fishery, Killorglin on Saturday the *24th* January and is open to all. The aim is to expose more people to this wonderful system of yoga. So please feel free to share this info and come along yourselves. Booking is essential. Yoga In Kerry (Bridget) is taking bookings and her number is in the poster. 🙏

Come and support this great charity event being organised by Movement & Fitness Club for Aware Ireland on 21st December. I will be teaching an hour long class at the start of the day, which will be followed by a Capoeira class. I have been playing Capoeira for nearly 10years now with my good friend Testa. I cannot recommend Capoeira highly enough as a fun activity to stay flexible and strong, along with Iyengar Yoga too of course! The event is open to everyone. Hope to see you there.

I hope the first few days back at school have gone well for everybody. I'm planning on starting back with the teenage girls yoga class in the Faha Listry Community Centre Listry Community Council clg from 16th September. We did a few weeks at the beginning of the summer as a taster block and that worked really well. We'll be starting at the beginning again though, to refresh all our memories 😁 so new students need not be put off. No previous experience is required. Girls aged 12-18yrs old are welcome.
